At the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, you'll experience the largest gathering of bald eagles in the world! Your specially-trained guides await to begin your rafting adventure (a gentle float, no whitewater!). You’ll float peacefully down the river aboard an 18-foot inflatable raft - the best way to observe the eagles drawn to feed on the plentiful salmon. Great half day trip
Our guide Poppi was excellent. She made the trip. Very peaceful floating down this river and you will definitely see eagles. Only negative is the waiver process. You must sit on the bus until everyone signs it. This should be done online. Painful.

Eagle preserve raft Carnival shore excursion in Haines/Skagway
Completely worth every penny. This is a Carnival cruise excursion and it exceeded our expectations. It's a well informed inside boat ride ferry to Haines from Skagway and a short ride via van to the ferry. The ferry drops you off in Haines where you take another well informed bus ride to the river. The ride and your guide and crew in all areas is fantastic, strong raft skills, took a amzing care if all of us. It was so peaceful. Very quiet. Small lunch provided as well as boots life jacket. Will do again and again. Eric, Ciara, Tom, Adian and Brandon thank you.

So relaxing floating along with gorgeous 360 scenery. Wiley was full of information and fun stories and Devon kept us safe & interested the whole trip. Great experience with great guides!
