Great solo ride with Cool Bikes
This was exactly what I had been looking for! A great trip that takes you outside the touristy areas and into the community and jungle. My guide what’s very kind and explanatory of everything we were seeing in the neighborhoods and in nature. I was the only person on the Mayan Underworld tour so it was nice to get what was basically a personal tour. The e-bike was easy to navigate if you’ve ridden a bike and are comfortable navigating a few bumps. The food afterwards was spectacular. If you want better than the average tour I highly recommend going with COOL BIKES!

Best experience ever!
This is the tour you want to take! 10,000 stars! We just finished the 8:30am Hidden Cenote tour and had the BEST time! Axel was a phenomenal guide. He made sure we were comfortable with our bikes, had all the supplies we needed (ladies, if you have small hands, I would recommend bringing your own full fingered bike gloves as they only have men's small - that's the only thing about the day that wasn't absolutely perfect - so really splitting hairs here. For reference I wear a size 4.5 ring) and he taught us the hand signs we would use during the ride: slow down, stop, let's go, etc. Navigating traffic was exhilarating and immersive. You get to see so many areas of PdC, touristy, local, affluent, modest, rural, before heading on dirt roads into the jungle. We stopped several times along the way to stretch, chat about the scenery/history/culture and check in. The dirt roads are fun, rolling hills, some mud, lots of gravel and sand. We were the first ones at the Cenote and it was incredible! Everything was so peaceful and serene. The water is crystal clear, chilly in a refreshing way. Definitely jump in from one of the cliff areas (3-7meters). Axel took lots of photos for us, which i really appreciate. We had about 40 minutes at the Cenote, before heading back by a more direct route. Lunch afterward was AMAZING! Highly recommend! Husband had the Burrito Mixto, I had the tacos campechanos. Can't wait to visit again and rent a bike for all our commuting needs! A few notes on clothing/supplies. I would recommend wearing clothes that can both ride and swim. Ladies wear a sport bra, it's bumpy! I did switch out a long sleeve sun shirt for the ride and a swim suit top for the Cenote. Husband was happy in swim trunks and a dry fit T-shirt. We opted for sturdy water shoes and were very pleased. We took a liter of water each. Next time I might pack a granola bar for at the Cenote. Don't forget to sunscreen the tops of your thighs.

Thank you Manny - so fun!
Great tour with Manny. He know the routes so well and really knows how to safely lead a group. Excellent energy and charm plus helpful knowledge of the local history. Beautiful visit to my first ever cenote! Must be somewhat comfortable on an e-bike or a confident biker. Not physically taxing - just some coordination needed.

Great time
Such a great time!! First time riding an e-bike but the guide, Emmanuel, gave good lessons and made navigating around the traffic super easy and safe. You get to see sides of Playa that you likely wouldn’t see without taking this opportunity!

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
