Bring your passport because we cross the border after 1 and a half hours of driving, it can be crowded so you will have to wait in a comfortable car, but our team will tell you various legends and stories so you won't be bored. You will be convinced that Dubrovnik is a city worth visiting, so crowds are not a problem for us. After crossing the border, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Cavtat and the Dubrovnik Riviera. Before arriving in the Old Town of Dubrovnik, we will take a photo break at the most beautiful viewpoint of Dubrovnik and the island of Lokrum. You could see that island on postcards. After about thirty minutes, we arrive at the magnificent Old Town of Dubrovnik — a city that, like a phoenix, has survived earthquakes and wars, yet continues to stand proudly in the same place. Its story has been told in countless books, yet it never truly ends. We begin our walking tour along the famous Stradun, passing the grand Onofrio's Fountain, the historic Franciscan Monastery Dubrovnik, Sponza Palace, the Church of St. Blaise, the Cathedral, Orlando’s Column, the Rector’s Palace, and the monumental Baroque staircase leading to the Church of St. Ignatius. Along the way, we’ll slip into hidden alleys to reveal the city’s authentic charm. You will have free time to enjoy lunch in a Mediterranean restaurant or relax with a coffee on Stradun. Afterward, we pass through the modern part of the city before beginning our return journey, approximately two and a half hours back to your accommodation.

Good drivers, poor communication - and more transfer than tour
The rides themselves were smooth and pleasant, with friendly drivers who arrived early at both ends. However, while this was billed as a Dubrovnik “tour” to and from Kotor, it was actually two separate private transfers, with different drivers and vehicles in each direction. This meant we couldn’t leave anything in the car while exploring Dubrovnik - something I wish had been made clearer in advance. We had a little over the advertised four hours in Dubrovnik, although it honestly felt like barely enough time to see such a beautiful city. My biggest gripe, and the main reason for the lower rating, was communication with the operator. He was not very communicative through the Viator app and instead asked us to use WhatsApp. Even there, getting simple advance confirmations of pickup times and meeting places was unnecessarily arduous. The lack of responses through the Viator app also initially raised some concerns about the legitimacy of the booking, though these ultimately proved unfounded. I was also surprised that none of the pre-trip messages included a simple reminder to bring passports. It may seem obvious, but not everyone will necessarily remember that there is border control between Montenegro and Croatia. Crossing into Croatia in the morning was a breeze, while the return crossing into Montenegro took nearly an hour. That is, of course, something of a wildcard and outside the operator’s control, but travelers should factor the possibility of significant border delays into their plans. Overall, the transportation itself was comfortable and professionally handled, but given the price and the way the experience was advertised, I expected clearer communication and a more seamless, tour-like experience.

Dubrovnik Tour Ride
Simply amazing! The drive from Budva to Dubrovnik was fairly quick despite the traffic conditions, aside from the usual hold up at the border crossing into Croatia. From the border oneards, we arrived to Dubrovnik in no time and had an entire 5 hours to take in the beauty of the old town in Dubrovnik. Our driver had waited for us at the agreed time with no delay, and our trip back to Montenegro was quick thanks to the driver's knowledge around the area and the surrounding roads, allowing us to completely pass by the immense traffic on the border with Montenegro and pop out at the very end of the line. The rest of the ride was as good as you can expect, including the always scenic ride on the ferry. Reccomended, 10/10!
