    Some Yummy Food!

Our family of 5 adults spent a very nice afternoon with Mydie on our walking food tour. We booked it for the afternoon that we arrived in Dublin, and it was a great way to get some fresh air, stay awake, and see the city. Mydie was very personable and easy to hang out with. She passed along some good information/history about Dublin and then took us to some great places to eat. It was a LOT of food, so come hungry! I think we made 5 food stops in total. Ask upfront what the stops are going to be so you can plan out how much to eat at each stop. The beef stew and fish and chips in the middle of the tour were excellent! Overall, this was a great experience and Mydie was wonderful.

    Mydie is a great guide.

Mydie dove right into all the culture and history of Ireland. She drew in personal family stories and provided great context. She also listened to things we wanted to do and tailored the tour nicely. I recommend Mydie!

    Come hungry and curious!

Ruairi made sure we had the best possible introduction to the local food scene! Come hungry, and curious and you’re in for a real treat. Ruairi walked us around the main downtown area of Dublin, stopping at a wide range of restaurants, shops and pubs to ensure we got the most authentic experience. We enjoyed tasting Irish chocolate, fish and chips, stews, and more (and of course a Guinness) all while being entertained by the stories of the cities history. Our favorite part was getting to know Ruairi, he is a great ambassador to the city, and all around a really fun person with a big heart. Hands down one of our favorite tours of our holiday!

Worst tour that I have ever had

It was the worst experience that I have ever had in my travel. They canceled my tour five minutes before it started so I was stuck without a tour but also in the rain. I would advice other to book with another company. Don’t waste your time and money with this tour. Unless you want a lot of sorry and good luck.

Response from the operator: Dear Ernest, We are deeply sorry for what happened in Dublin. Having your tour cancelled five minutes before it was due to start, and being left without support in the rain, is a completely unacceptable experience and we understand your frustration entirely. Occasionally, our platform and Viator's do not sync properly, and we suspect this may have been the case here. It is something we are actively working to improve so that no guest is caught off guard like this again. We hear you, and we know that an apology alone does not make up for a ruined afternoon. What we can promise is that your feedback is being taken seriously at every level. Dublin is a city full of warmth and character and we hope it still showed you some of that despite this experience. We would love the opportunity to restore your faith in Withlocals one day. Kind Regards, The Withlocals Team

Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings cost?

    +

Prices start at $238 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 137 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings?

    +

Around 48 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dublin Private Walking Food Tour With Locals with 10 Tastings start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
