    Paul was the best driver!

Paul Smith was our driver through Ireland for the past five days and he did such an amazing job. He was patient and so knowledgeable about history and the area. He made our trip so enjoyable! He was patient with the kids and always had good recommendations for snacks, lunches and coffee. The van was always clean and he provided waters for us. Will definitely be using Paul again if ever in this area!

Response from the operator: Cheryl Thanks a million for the fantastic review and it was an absolute pleasure looking after your Family for your tip to Ireland,we had great fun on that trip and I know your kids had a ball while in Ireland and were great fun, Cheryl thanks again for choosing Setanta Chauffeur Tours for your private trip around Ireland and it was so easy to be nice and flexible while on tour with a private driver and it is so much easier to see and do everything with the kids. Until next time Cheryl Thanks a million ☘️ Best wishes, Paul

A magical trip to Ireland !

We are so glad we decided on Paul (Setanta Tours)and didn’t drive ourselves. Paul was a wealth of knowledge on everything relating to Ireland. History, folklore, current events just amazing conversations as we drove 4 days starting in Dublin, Cork, Killarney and Galway . He found the best places to see and the communication on the front end of the trip and all his suggestions were fantastic. He expertly drove through some tough weather conditions and somehow managed the itinerary so we missed nothing . He is a natural and made us feel like we were traveling with family . He knew the best restaurants, pubs, shopping etc in each city. He was so lovely and professional that we plan of returning and recommending him to all our friends and family. I would 100% use him but next time maybe even longer . His Mercedes was very comfortable with air conditioning/ heating for the back seats that we could customize. Smooth ride and a true joy being with Paul and learning so much about Ireland. He was also always on time!

Response from the operator: Monica,Aram and of coarse Sophie what an absolute pleasure to get a chance to give you a tour beautiful Ireland and it was great to be able to customise your own tour for that week and as their was lots of visits we did not see that week Monica I know you will come back again with your other daughter who missed out on this trip,But when returning we will make it a fantastic second trip back to Ireland,it’s always nice to get a review Monica but when you are my 100th review it was very special to me and Thanks a million for the fabulous review and I know I will see you returning to Ireland for another tour, Thanks a million Monica,Arum and Sophie and we’ll cede you all again very soon.💚💚💚 Best wishes, Paul☘️

    Fantastic, fun, & knowledgeable driver!

Paul was amazing! Highly recommend. My husband and I were so glad we chose Setanta tour’s instead of renting a car ourselves. Paul customized the trip with adjustments to weather and was an incredible guide. Again highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Sara for the fantastic review it was a pleasure to look after yourselves guys in Ireland before you trip over to Scotland and I really enjoyed showing you some beautiful scenery in Ireland and indeed a few really nice pubs as well, and as you said Sara it is a lot easier to take a tour so you can sit back and relax and not worry about driving the other side of the road which can be daunting,Sara thanks again for choosing Setanta Chauffeur Tours for you trip and I hope to see you again one day back in the Emerald Isle. Great Guide - Knowledgeable, Friendly, Caring and Fun

This was our second tour with Paul and we can't imagine a better driver and tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and can provide great tips on restaurants, music pubs, or whatever interests you. With his knowledge, you also have great flexibility during your tour. If you encounter bad weather that interferes with one site, Paul always has another option for you to experience. He is cheerful, punctual, personable, caring and more. He is just a great guy and we really enjoy riding around with him and learning about Irish history, landmark sites, as well as learning about Irish culture and everyday life in Ireland. I can't recommend Paul highly enough.

Response from the operator: Tom & Vicki thank you so much again for the fabulous review and I was so delighted to get the chance to look after yourselves and of coarse Doug & Jeannette for second trip around beautiful Ireland,Tom you are now an old hand at organising trips to Ireland and naturally this one went off without a hitch and it was great when you are in control of where you stay and when you start and finish which is super when you book direct with Setanta Chauffeur Tours,I really enjoyed every minute of that trip, the fun last minute stops to the relaxed nature of the tour,Tom we will do it all again some day,Thanks again Tom & Vicki Best wishes, Your Irish travel buddy, Paul.☘️

Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day ): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day ) cost?

    +

Prices start at $1302 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day ) take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day ) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day )?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day ) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day )?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Driver Guide for up to 10 days (per day ) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
