We booked this for when...
We booked this for when we landed and we could not have asked for a better introduction to the Dublin. The tour guide was extremely friendly and very easily broke the ice. I'm not an experienced drinker, but she was able to help me through trying lots of different whiskeys while still answer questions from my partner who is. I'd recommend this experience for anyone coming to Dublin, even if they don't often drink.

One of the Best Introductions to Dublin
If you can laugh and learn in the same afternoon, that's quite a day. Grainne was our guide, and she was exceptional. Very kind, hospitable, funny, and knowledgeable. A delightful way to spend the day with friends, sampling whiskeys in different pubs. Every visit to Dublin should start with this tour. Learn something about the people and their culture before you visit a landmark or museum. Easily one of my favorite tours of all time. Thank you!
Response from the operator: Wow 5 out of 5 review. You guys were a joy to bring out on tour. Thank you for the fantastic feedback!

6 very good Irish...
6 very good Irish whiskey’s and snacks to go with each one. Tour guide was an expert and knew everything there was to know about whiskey and Ireland and everything else. Would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining me and for your lovely feedback Steven. I hope yourself and Amanda enjoyed the rest of your trip.

PRIVATE TOUR WITH GRAINNE :)
Grainne was our tour guide and she was amazing with her local recommendations of where to go eat, listen to Irish music, drink good whiskey and where to visit in Galway. I was not sure if the tour would still happen since Grainne only had me and my wife & their policy is to have a minimum of 4 people. However, she came through with keeping our tour as scheduled!!! Thank you so much for giving us a private tour for the price of a group tour. Also, we ate at Kings Head Restaurant in Galway yesterday, and I must say they had the best fish & chips! And the drive from Cliffs of Mohr to Galway was definitely pretty as you mentioned. Lastly, Grainne is an expert on whiskey, so my wife & I walked away from our tour being much more educated in whiskey tasting. HERE IS A HUGE THANKS FROM JUN & JEANNIE!!! THANK YOU!!!
Response from the operator: Jun & Jeannie, you made my week. Thank you so much for joining me and for your wonderful feedback. I am delighted you had a enjoyed your trip out West. Thank you again, you are the best!

Worth every cent!
This tour was a highlight of our trip and worth every cent. Gráinne was a phenomenal guide; her deep knowledge of the city's history and whiskey culture is matched only by her passion for her work. The pairings were a delightful surprise, featuring top-notch cheeses and sweet treats. We really appreciated the small-group dynamic, which kept the experience personal. Gráinne also went above and beyond by providing excellent local recommendations afterward. Do not miss this!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review and more importantly for joining me on the Whiskey Trail, it was a real pleasure to host you.

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.
How much does Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local cost?
+
Prices start at $113 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.
Is Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dublin 6 Whiskey Tasting & 3 Food Pairing Walking Tour with Local start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dublin?
+
On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dublin?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dublin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
