    What you'll see and do

    1. Peles Castle

Peles Castle is the most impressive castle in Romania and a must-see attraction if you’re passionate about stories of royalty, splendid architecture, and history. The summer residence of the royal family until 1948 when it was confiscated by the communists, the castle from Sinaia is today, like in its first years, one of the most beautiful in Europe.

    2. Bran Castle

Bran Castle is ultimately a magnificent medieval fortress that Queen Maria turned into a special royal residence, one of her favorites, in the years that followed WW1. While many of the visitors who show up in large numbers, making it the most visited attraction in Romania, go in search of the Dracula legend, the castle itself has nothing to do with Bram Stoker’s famous novel. It’s instead a great place to imagine centuries of medieval fights and past times of royal glory when Romania’s most beloved Queen turned it into a home.

    3. Brasov Historical Center

Brasov is one of the most visited cities in Romania, offerings its tourists a rich mix of history, architecture, culture, urban fun, and impressive natural surroundings. A top tourist attraction in Romania, the city was for centuries a key commercial center and a strong industrial hub during the long decades of communism when its name changed for 10 years to Stalin City.

    Long day but definitely...

Long day but definitely worth it - Really enjoyed the experience. Both Castles very different from other castles we had seen, wish we had more time in the town of Brasov, lunch was excellent. Our guide Laura was very knowledgeable and passionate about Romania and its history. She suggested we buy skip the line tickets definitely worth the small upcharge. Transportation was a large van, while not a Mercedes as advertised, it was comfortable.

    Great sightseeing outside of Bucharest

Great tour to explore Transylvania to see the countryside from the farmland to the mountains and the incredible castles of Peles and Bran. We enjoyed the City of Brasov and lunch in the square. Our guide Laura was fun, knowledgeable and provided great information on the history of Romania. Romania is a fascinating and beautiful country to explore.

    Our expert Dracula experience!

The experience of our driver/agent was amazing; about regional and folklore history. Alin was very polite and conscientious of our welfare. Transylvania was fantastic!

Great tour -- mark something off the bucket list.

It was a great tour. Alin was very knowledgeable and provided a great experience. There is a fair amount of walking and stair climbing involved so one should be prepared for that. We chose to cut the Brasov part short just because it had been a long day abs we were exhausted, but there was probably much more to see. How often do you get a chance to see dracula's castle??

    Awesome trip!

Mircea was incredibly knowledgeable (on history, culture, languages, etc.), thoughtful, warm, and accommodating. He truly cares about his guests, which makes all the difference! He made my two-day visit of Romania (covering Bucharest, Brasov City, Peles Castle) a truly delightful and memorable experience.

Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.

How much does Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle cost?

    +

Prices start at $200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.

Is Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 52 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle?

    +

Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dracula's Castle -Private Tour- with Brașov City and Peleș Castle start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bucharest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bucharest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bucharest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
