The best in the business - Delfim!! Bus4all for life!
The Douro Valley was nothing short of magical, and that magic was brought to life by one truly special guide—Delfim. I was referred to him by my sister, and I can honestly say I’ve never worked with someone so kind-hearted, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty of this region. From the moment we met, Delfim felt like family. He’s adored by every local we encountered, greeted with smiles and open arms wherever we went. He made us feel equally welcome and taken care of, especially when "the girlies" were hurting after a long night in Porto—and Delfim stepped in like a hero. From handing us endless bottles of water, to literally holding our hair back, to securing last-minute lunch reservations with a river view, he went above and beyond. More than just a tour guide, he was our soundboard, comfort, and cultural ambassador. Delfim curated a perfect day touring Quinta da Crasto, Quinta da Seixo, and Quinto do Pacha, sharing stories of history, heritage, and local flavor at every turn. His deep love for the Douro Valley is infectious, and we left with so much more than just beautiful memories—we left with a true understanding of what makes this region so special. If you’re ever lucky enough to travel to the Douro Valley, do not miss the chance to work with Delfim. He is one of a kind, and he turned an already beautiful destination into an unforgettable experience.

Exceptional private tour of the Douro Valley from start to finish
Delfim is an absolute star, a wonderful guide, gentle soul, and a true ambassador to the gorgeous, historic Douro Valley. Our day with him was special from start to finish and suited our tastes perfectly. His knowledge of the region is deep, and he has tons to share along the way. You're well looked after from the moment you get in his plush electric Mercedes. Delfim takes you on a full-day adventure, one where you never feel rushed — everything is suited to making you comfortable and cared for. He seems to know just about everyone in the region, so what you experience on your day with him is something that you simply will not get on a larger package, or even a semi-private tour. If you're going to invest in a day trip thru the Douro valley, go for the personalized experience, and Delfim is an effortless master of the art. Our day with Delfim was an absolute pleasure — one we won't soon forget!

Amazing tour of Douro Valley
We had a wonderful time on our tour of the Douro Valley. We were picked up at our hotel in Porto and spent the day seeing, eating, and drinking all the great things in the valley. We had wine tours, tastings, and a beautiful lunch overlooking the river. Delfim was the best tour guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and has all the right connections in the valley to get you the best tastings, tours and tables. Thank you so much Delfim. Scott and Tia

Perfect day on the Douro
We had a phenomenal day in the Douro Valley. Delfim is an amazing host. Born and bred in Porto he is a fund of knowledge. A perfect itinerary- we were able to visit a small production winery, enjoyed a beautiful lunch overlooking the Douro, experienced a Port wine tasting and a river cruise on the Douro. Would be hard to beat a day like that. Delfim added his own personal charm and a few refined touches. He is terrific. If you are considering a visit to the area - look no further!

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Douro Valley Premium Private: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Douro Valley Premium Private cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Douro Valley Premium Private take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Douro Valley Premium Private worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Douro Valley Premium Private?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Douro Valley Premium Private suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Douro Valley Premium Private?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Douro Valley Premium Private start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
