Super day with a super guide

I had such a fantastic day with Malang at Bandia Reserve and Pink Lake. He was so flexible in crafting a tour for me, and in explaining the things we saw in Dakar, the suburbs and at the sites. Everything worked seamlessly and I appreciated his deep local knowledge and connections. I can’t recommend Malang and Senegambia tours highly enough.

    Malang, an Awesome guide

We are two single women who spent five days with Malang and our driver Ali in Dakar. Malang took excellent care of us, and made sure we had a comprehensive and fun 5 days. We visited Dakar, Goree, the safari Park and the Pink lake. Malang was flexible and added stops at our request. He really went over and beyond to make our stay very special. Everything was arranged perfectly without any kinks. His English is excellent in a country where very few people speak English. We had a wonderful five days, and highly recommend his services. The best thing about Malang was his sincere enthusiasm for everything Senegal. Ali was an excellent driver and very accommodating. Jeri and Wendy

Such an amazing experience to feel welcomed back home.

Even though we only spent one day with Malang, he made a lasting impression. His hospitality was exceptional, and he made sure we experienced some of the very best that Dakar has to offer. In just one day, we visited the safari, the beautiful Pink Lake, explored the vibrant local market, and enjoyed incredible traditional Senegalese food. Everything was well organized, and Malang was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing his culture with us. If you’re visiting Dakar and looking for someone who will give you an authentic, enjoyable, and memorable experience, I highly recommend Malang. Thank you for making our day in Senegal so special!

Great day and personal guide, Malang.

We took a private excursion to the Bandia Safari and Pink Lake in Dakar, and it was a memorable day—especially from a cultural perspective. Our guide, Malang, was excellent from start to finish. He stayed attentive from the moment we booked, kept us informed throughout the experience, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. Our driver also did a great job navigating Dakar’s traffic and road conditions. The Bandia Safari was a highlight. We enjoyed seeing giraffes, hippos, monkeys, zebras, birds, and several species of antelope up close in a beautiful natural setting. Pink Lake, however, was a bit disappointing; it didn’t resemble the vivid images often shown online. Still, the outing overall was worthwhile. Despite the mixed experience with Pink Lake, we had a good day and would absolutely recommend Malang as a guide.

    Pink lake

Malang was an awesome guide. It was only me and he made the experience feel like up was going with a friend. We talked about the history of senegal, rode atv's, and got some good local food. It was a great experience to see and he made the time more fun.

Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dakar.

How much does Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum cost?

    +

Prices start at $272 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dakar usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dakar is not rushed.

Is Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dakar, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dakar can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dakar and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Discover Bandia Safari and the Pink Lake 2 Participants Minimum start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dakar within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dakar?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dakar experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Explore Dakar and Gorée Island full day, Taxi DSS to DAKAR,SALY,RIU HOTEL,SOMONE ( please check Options), Full-Day DAKAR city / GOREE Island Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dakar?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dakar?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
