Would do again!
This investigation was wonderful! Grayson was very personable and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the equipment and we had a wonderful time investing with him. If you get the opportunity to take part in this investigation, take it! Well worth the time and money!

Really awesome experience!
Grayson is awesome! Other than watching what we saw on television we didn't know what to expect. Grayson is patient and very knowledgeable with his equipment and the history of our investigation. Grayson it was a pleasure and a great experience and we for sure shall book another tour with you as soon as we can! Hopefully we'll get to speak with "Ed" and "Edna" once more :D

A great, spooky time! (Bring bug spray)
Excellent tour, I will absolutely be recommending this to my friends. I came across After Dark Investigations in a pretty unconventional way - life just takes you to some weird places and those tend to be the best adventures. Last night Grayson was our group's guide - he was super cool, super professional, introduced a whole bunch of gear that I didn't even know existed, and was very straightforward and honest throughout the entire evening. I haven't listened to the audio yet but even if there's nothing too spooky on our recordings, the experience was still worth the time, money, and energy (& bug spray). I'm a Jax native and absolutely will be suggesting ADI's services as a thing for friends to just DO as a group or as something my out-of-state family can do when they visit.
Response from the operator: Hi. Thank you for your review. You are right about how different you met us but so glad you did. Grayson is just as you described and then some. He is such a good person and truly loves what he does and wants our guests to experience the best investigation possible. Although every night is different as far as evidence we collect, even if you experience little, he makes the tour amazing because of his enthusiasm and professionalism. Thank you for coming out with us and we really appreciate your business. Take care.

Best Ghost Investigation
Amazing experience and Grayson was the best guide. He answered questions and allowed us to interact with the equipment. We very much enjoyed this and will be back!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with others. Grayson is a wonderful guide. You can't go wrong with him. Come see us in Gettysburg.

You won’t find a better ghost tour!!!
This was our second investigation and it far out exceeded our expectations. Please know this is a real investigation, there no theatrical nonsense, we had Grayson and this guide is absolutely amazing, he knows so much about the history and the equipment that we were able to go right into a solid investigation. I truly can’t say enough about him! He continually offer more and different things to investigate with. Really if you’re looking to have a real investigation with real interactions then this is your tour. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to experience a real investigation. They have many options but my recommendation would be the private investigation, Grayson will help you or let you work it on your own! Thank You Grayson you made our night completely AMAZING! Mike and Liz.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for St Augustine.
How much does Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in St Augustine usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in St Augustine is not rushed.
Is Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in St Augustine, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in St Augustine can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in St Augustine and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Devil's Hour Investigation: Small Group St. Augustine start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central St Augustine within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in St Augustine?
+
St Augustine is walkable history: Castillo de San Marcos, Spanish quarter walking tours, trolley loops, lighthouse climbs and some of the best-attended ghost tours in the country. Guide storytelling quality is the main variable. On Outty we rank every St Augustine experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Medieval Torture Museum with Ghost Hunting and Tiny Art Gallery, St. Augustine's Wine, Cocktail and Food Experience, Dolphin and Wildlife Adventure of St. Augustine. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit St Augustine?
+
February to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in St Augustine?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
