Family fun and great way to get to know the city

We had a great time exploring the city. Both of our kids (14 and 24) really enjoyed the ability to participate and help fund the points of interest and answer the trivia questions.

Response from the operator: Hi Martin, so happy to hear your whole family enjoyed exploring Denver together! It's always great when the kids get invovled in finding the spots and cracking the trivia. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this. Until your next adventure, Your whole Explorial Team

A great time had by all!

Our family did this today in Denver. What a fun experience! It was a lot of walking though. Be sure to take some water with you and wear your walking shoes. We ranged from aged 14 to age 58 in our group and had a blast! Would recommend to all. Looking to do in other cities!

Response from the operator: Hi there, thank you for this lovely review! A family adventure from 14 to 58 – that's what we love to hear. And great tip about the water and walking shoes, Denver keeps you moveing for sure! So glad you all had a blast. Can't wait to see you exploring in another city soon, Your whole Explorial Team

    Say hi along the way!

It was a fun and leisurely way to see some beautiful architecture and learn about the city’s history. We made our own pitstop at the very cool Populus hotel on the route for great cocktails. Would definitely recommend this tour for adults, or younger folks who are good with ‘stop and read’ sites/activities. We talked with several locals as we went - super friendly.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We hope to see you playing Explorial again soon in other cities.

    Well worth the price!

This was a fun way to explore downtown Denver on our first day here. It was absolutely perfect. Very much enjoyed it and considering doing this in other cities that I visit. Well worth the $7! And got some good exercise in the process.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We hope to see you playing Explorial again soon in other cities.

    Good fun.

It was a great experience with my family. A nice way to see the city on foot. Ran into a street fair and that was unique. Overall a lot of walking.

Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Denver.

How much does Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt cost?

    +

Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Denver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Denver is not rushed.

Is Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Denver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Denver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Denver and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Denver Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Denver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Denver?

    +

Denver is a launch pad. Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, Red Rocks and the Georgetown rail loop all run as day trips, and altitude makes the timing of your first hike matter. In town: brewery crawls, Union Station food walks and Red Rocks show nights. We rank mountain operators on van size, pace and whether they build in altitude acclimatisation. On Outty we rank every Denver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Downtown Denver Food Tour, Twilight Ghost Tour, Small Group Tour of Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods from Denver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Denver?

    +

June to September for open mountain passes, or December to March for ski shuttles. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Denver?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
