Disgraceful. Guide didn’t turn up. When he was contacted after he was 10 minutes late we were told the tour was cancelled but nobody was told. No refund has been received yet but it is not about the money. The tour being cancelled wasted our time and meant we couldn’t book any other tour on that afternoon. Very disappointing.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We're very sorry for this mishap and understand your disappointment. We take full responsibility for this internal mistake and will not proceed to explain as I understand that doesn't make up for your lost time. Your refund should be processed by now. I do hope you still enjoyed your day in the city.

Delft walking tour

This was a 'free walking tour in Delft. Michel provided interesting anecdotes and history while walking around central Delft landmarks. He was great at engaging all members of the party and kept track of us in the crowded areas. Would recommend.

Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Free Walking Tour Delft. We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed exploring Delft’s beautiful city center with Michel. He has a wonderful way of bringing history to life with his stories and humour, and we’re glad that came through during your walk. It’s also great to know you felt well taken care of, even in the busier parts of the city — that’s exactly the kind of personal, engaging experience we want every guest to have. Thanks again for joining Free Walking Tour Delft and for recommending us. We hope to welcome you back on another tour somewhere in the Netherlands soon! Kind regards, Tim Free Walking Tour Delft

Very likeable guide.

Entertaining guide. His English was good, but he spoke a touch too quickly. Even I (and English is my 1st language) missed one or two things he said because they were spoken too rapidly, and just occasionally mis-pronounced a few words. But hey! - I don't speak a word of Dutch so I can't really complain! He was very knowledgeable and answered questions quite effectively. My only other slight criticism was he spent just a little too long chatting about where people were from, mixed with some rather irrelevant information. (We didn't get moving until around 1.50pm.) BUT....he did a good job and the walk was entertaining and interesting.

Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for joining our Free Walking Tour Delft and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re really glad to hear that you found the tour entertaining and that you appreciated the guide’s knowledge and ability to answer questions well. We also appreciate your constructive comments about the pacing and pronunciation. Our guides are always eager to improve, and this kind of thoughtful feedback really helps. Speaking clearly and balancing the introduction time with the walking part of the tour is something we’ll definitely take on board. It’s great to know that overall you enjoyed the experience and found the walk interesting. Delft is such a charming city, and we’re happy you got to explore it with us. Thank you again for your honest and kind review — we hope to see you again on another Free Walking Tour in the Netherlands! Warm regards, Tim Free Walking Tour Delft

Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for The Hague.

How much does Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local cost?

+

Prices start at $3 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in The Hague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in The Hague is not rushed.

Is Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in The Hague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in The Hague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in The Hague and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Delft 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central The Hague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in The Hague?

+

On Outty we rank every The Hague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Walking Tour of Delft - The City of Orange and Blue, The Hague 2-Hour Walking Tour | Discover The City With A Local, Royal Delft: Delftblue Factory and Museum Admission Ticket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit The Hague?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in The Hague?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
