    What you'll see and do

    1. Kotor Old Town

This tour is intended for all guests who are in favor of a small adventurous injection. It is also suitable for cruise guests who do not stay long in the harbor. Meeting is at the pre-determined address from where we are heading together to get the bicycles. Our adventure begins by driving through the bay where you will have a wonderful view of Kotor and surrounding places. We are going through interesting places and we will make several stops for taking pictures. Before, these were very small fishing places where the trail of history is still visible. You will enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean architecture and the amazing landscape of the bay where the hills reflect on the surface of a mild sea.

      120 minutes here

    2. After 40 minutes (approximately 9km driving), we arrive at a small place where we start hiking (medium hard) toward an already abandoned village from the 14th century, which retained its appearance and architecture from that time. During the tour we pass through the chestnuts woods that will protect us of the strong sun. After 45 minutes of climbing, we arrive at our viewpoint where the bay is stretching with a beautiful view of Perast and islands of Our Lady and St. George. The peace and smell that are felt take us to some other time far away from the present civilization. On our return, you will have the opportunity for swimming from one of the docks in the bay. This tour does not require guests to be in a special physical condition; bicycle path is without slope; walking path is of medium difficulty; the required equipment is composed of comfortable shoes and a sufficient amount of water.

    Wonderful experience

We had an amazing morning with Igor our tour guide today. He met us at the port of Kotor and took us on a scenic bike ride and then a hike into the upper town. We asked him if we could stop for a swim on our way back and he found a great spot for us to stop and get a swim. All along the way he shared his knowledge about the history of Montenegro and Kotor Bay.

Phenomenal view of city via bike and foot

First of all, I had a great experience with this tour group before I left for my trip. I inquired about the type of tour I wanted to do and Tanja was very responsive in her emails to help me set up the tour. Excellent communication. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Dejana for the actual tour. She was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable about the area and even well-versed in the history of the region. It was easy to tell that she enjoyed her job. She offered up much advice on places to visit while we were in the area. The tour itself was spectacular. We rode along the coast of the bay and were able to take in the sights of the surroundings. The ride was mostly flat and a good pace. Then we hiked up to an old village. The route was a bit challenging for me but the views were totally worth it. However, we could stop to rest as needed and we went at a reasonable pace for the group. I want to thank my fellow american travelers for letting me join the group as I was flying solo on this part of the trip. I would totally recommend this tour and Dejana as tour guide if you want a tour a little off the beaten path. It is a great way to see the city beyond Old Town Kotor.

Response from the operator: Hi Donelle, Thank you so much on this beautiful review. We are happy that you have enjoyed in this unique experience. Hope we will see again in Montenegro. Warm regards, Tanja and Dejana

    Biking Kotor

Had a great day of biking around the bay and it is flat so it is an easy ride. After you go a few miles you climb to an old abandoned village up on the side of the mountain. It is not a hard hike but the views from the church is well worth the effort. Our guide was Dejana and she is fantastic.

    Fantastic views

We had a wonderful day with Dejana biking the bay of Kotor and then hiking to an old city and church. She was a fantastic guide and was so much fun to talk to. We had a party of five with us and she kept us all informed of the local culture. I would book another event with them if I ever return which I would recommend it is a breathtaking area of the world

Response from the operator: Hi Joe, We are happy to hear this and thank you so much for this review. Hope we will see again in Montenegro on some other interesting tour. Warm regards, MW Team

    Spectacular and breathtaking!

This is perfect tour if you have only few hours to visit Kotor. This bicycle ride was highlights on our cruise ship tour, view is spectacular and breathtaking in this period doesn't have traffic and we had this narrow road near the sea just for ourselves. We were feeling freedom till we were cycling while our reflection fallow us in a crystal clear water. After this poetic ride we start hiking adventure, first it was hard, but nature was wonderful after we reach the top in this old village we was so happy to watch this beautiful view on two islands near Perast and beautiful Kotor bay. Highly recommend!!! Thanks a lot.

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kotor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
