    2. Playa de las Teresitas

Playa de Las Teresitas is a renowned artificial beach located in the northeast of Tenerife, near the village of San Andrés and approximately a 10-minute drive from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Spanning about 1.3 kilometers, the beach is characterized by its golden sands and calm, turquoise waters. Originally, the area consisted of pebbles and black volcanic sand, with strong Atlantic currents making it less suitable for swimming. In the early 1970s, to create a more appealing beach, a breakwater was constructed to protect against strong waves, and approximately 270,000 tons of white sand were imported from the Sahara Desert to cover the beach.

    Santa Cruz Tenerife

What an amazing day spent with Teo! Teo was very knowledgeable and took us to amazing sights in Santa Cruz Tenerife!

    via Viator

    Jacqui_K · March 2026

Great way to see many sites without the crowds

Well worth the money to be private and not wait around for others all day. There was a general itinerary but Teo was very accommodating to other request, while also knowing what was worth actually seeing, due to unpredictable weather. I was quite impressed with how knowledgeable he was and answered practically any random question we had. He was laid back, made us laugh and was a pleasure to be around. I would highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Hi Jacqui !Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review! It was an absolute pleasure showing you around Tenerife. I am so glad that we were able to make the most of the day and adapt to the unpredictable weather and traffic. You were fantastic guests, and your great sense of humor made the day fly by. I hope to welcome you back to the island in the future!

I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our communication and the secret spots we explored together. Being on time and making sure my guests feel comfortable and well-informed from start to finish is always my top priority. I hope the professional photos we took bring back wonderful memories of your family adventure in Tenerife for years to come! You were a joy to have in my car. Warm regards, Theo

We had a good day with...

We had a good day with Theo and he told us many stories. The lunch was delicious. The only problem was that so much time was wasted with traffic/parking issues. We didn't get to see as many places as I was hoping.

Response from the operator: Dear Lesley, Thank you so much for your review! I’m delighted to hear that you enjoyed the stories about our island and that the local lunch was a highlight of your day. It was truly a pleasure spending time with you. I appreciate your honest feedback regarding the traffic and parking. I always strive to maximize our sightseeing time. Unfortunately, during peak hours or special events, certain areas can become more congested than expected. I am already working on adjusting my secret routes and timing to ensure future guests can enjoy even more of Tenerife's stunning locations without delays. I'm glad that despite the island's busy day, we still managed to create some great memories together. I hope the professional photos we took will remind you of the beautiful moments we shared! Wishing you many more amazing travels, Theo

Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included cost?

    +

Prices start at $770 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Custom Private Tenerife Full Island VIP Tour - Photos Included start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
