Take in the culture with an experienced guide.
My guide Robert, was a safe and reliable guide. He made sure I was comfortable through the entire tour. He was very kind and polite. The dancers were very interactive and energetic. They were a real treat to seeing culture in Kenya. I highly recommend traveling with a knowledgeable guide like Robert and to include tours that bring you closer to the people you are visiting. Each dance was explained and presented in a wonderful way.

Excellent tour.
The visit to Bomas of Kenya was very interesting. Aside from the dances, the visit to see traditional village outdoor museum was quite interesting. You get to see about 24 different tribal villages. Visit them before the dance which starts a 3:30. Our guide Eric was flexible and we changed our itinerary to suit our interests (less shopping, more culture).
Response from the operator: Dear client, Greetings from Kenya! Thanks for letting us and other travelers know that you had an excellent tour with us. It was great honor to have hosted you and we are happy to hear that the cultural tour that we gave you, was wonderful. You are welcome for more tours in the near future.

Terrible tour. Do not take.
Our tour was listed at 2 which we verified when we booked. The person however showed up at 1 and said it was at 1. This meant I wasn’t able to get any of my things (including camera) as We had just walked back into our hotel. He than drove us in a car with markings for the best western and not functioning seat belts to a curio shop. He said the place doesn’t open until 330 so he was trying to fill 2 hrs. At 2 we headed to Bomas and he said we’d just wander around for an hour and a half until they opened. The tour lists it including bottled water. They didn’t provide that. There was one other person who the driver would whisper to the whole time. When we got back to our hotel the driver than had the nerve to ask for a tip after being rude, not providing what was promised, etc. he glared at us when we said no. Do not waste your money on this. The listed price is not what they charge either. It was a big waste of our money. We’d much rather have gotten a taxi to the center and done it on our own.
Response from the operator: HI meghan, We apologize for this tour not meeting your expectations. Though a tour may start at specific time, we usually avail our self earlier. In this case, the driver came early. We take it on our self for not giving you enough time to pick your camera, an error we have noted and rectified to our future clients. Though we recommend tipping, we do not support asking for it. All your concerns have been noted and ready to rectify. Thanks Meghan for letting us know this.

Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market?
+

Is Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cultural tour: Traditional dances and maasai Market start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
