What you'll see and do
Jade Cenote
The Jade Cavern (or Cenote Chempita) in Cozumel is a popular, natural sinkhole offering an adventurous and culturally rich experience. Swim in the Cenote: The primary activity is swimming or floating in the cool, refreshing, jade-colored freshwater of the underground cavern, offering a stark contrast to the tropical heat. Cliff Jumping: For the adventurous, there is a platform (typically 8–20 feet high) available for those who wish to jump into the deep waters of the cenote. Explore the Cavern: Visitors can admire the natural geological features, including impressive stalactites and other ancient rock formations created by centuries of mineral deposition. Mayan Significance: Cenotes like the Jade Cavern held immense spiritual importance for the ancient Maya. They were considered sacred wells and the only reliable source of fresh water on the peninsula. The Maya viewed them as portals to the Underworld (Xibalbá), and they were often sites for rituals, ceremonies, and offerings.

VÍCTOR ROCKS!
My partner and I had an AMAZING time with Victor!! The activities were amazing - ATV thru the side streets and brush to a beautiful jade cenote, followed by a tequila tasting. But what made the experience truly special was Victor, our tour guide. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and so fun, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide for the tour!

Plenty of ATV Drive/Ride Time!
This tour lived up to the claim that it offers lots of time on the ATVs. We definitely felt that ride time was plentiful. The ATVs we were on were well maintained - no issues at all. The scenery was mixed - some jungle, some small town, some 'industrial site' - but very enjoyable and safe for us. We had taken a similar tour w/ offroad vehicle a few years back (Suzuki 'jeeps') and this was way better! If it hasn't rained recently and you choose to go w/o their goggles (which is what we did), make sure you have something to protect your eyes from the dust. All of us had either sunglasses or normal eye glasses which was a blessing. Our guide, Beto(?), made sure we navigated the jungle traffic safely. All in all, we consider it a good value and we would consider doing it again depending on who we were with. For this trip, we had our two sons - one 15 and the other 19. The 15 yr old rode w/ me (dad) on a two seater. The others were on singletons.
Response from the operator: Darren, thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the ATV ride, felt safe, and found it a great value. We’d love to welcome you back for another adventure! 🤙🌴🏍️

Some good some not so good
The pick up after the hotel was a bit odd and somewhat unsettling. Wasn’t sure if the driver really did work for this company some sort ID presented Unfortunately, the trip out was pretty uncomfortable as the air conditioner was not working. I didn’t appreciate that the goggles and the bandanna as an additional purchase for both of us. The bandanna was unnecessary and the goggles should have been included The guide was very sweet and the ride was interesting. I was not impressed by the swimming hole. It was pretty, but smelled foul and the bats were interesting but did not make me want to swim. I did appreciate the cost, tequila, tasting, and the ability to book the day prior.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry the experience fell short of expectations, particularly regarding the pickup and air conditioning. We’re glad you enjoyed the guide, tequila tasting, and overall value, and we truly appreciate your comments. Let us improve our service to better meet your expectations!

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 68 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote?
+
Around 24 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cozumel ATV Jungle Adventure to Jade Cavern Cenote start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
