Go official - Go 'Atlantic Eco'

I don't usually do reviews, but felt I had to with this one. Atlantic Eco - Very informative and unlike many other 'boats' operating in the area, this one is fully licensed, legal and supports the eco sensitivity of the area. David who was on our trip, is a marine biologist and really knows his stuff. We saw so many amazing pilot whales and were educated throughout the trip. 100% recommend

A trip not to be missed!

Well, what can we say! In Nov 2024 we did this trip twice in the week we were on holiday in Costa Adeje. This week we did the trip twice too! We loved every minute of it, as before. A trip with expert marine biologists, who are so passionate about the sea life, really makes this trip special. Also that it only takes a maximum of 10 for each trip. David and Mirna are real characters and impart their knowledge in a way that is easy to understand and give you facts that are interesting and informative. We cannot rate them highly enough! Best Whale Watching Experience We’ve Ever Had

I’ve done a lot of these tours, so I won’t pretend every one is amazing — many are just average. This one wasn’t. We went on a whale-watching tour with Eco Experience as a family (with teenage kids), and it was honestly the best marine excursion we’ve had. For context, this was my third similar trip — I’ve done whale watching in Madeira and the Azores — so I actually have something to compare it to. What stood out wasn’t just “we got lucky.” Yes, there’s always an element of luck with wildlife, but here you can clearly see the team’s experience and coordination. They were actively searching, communicating, adjusting — not just driving around hoping for the best. And it paid off: we saw dolphins and, most importantly, whales — which we had really hoped for. The whole experience was engaging and interesting for everyone: me, my husband, and our teenage kids. That’s rare. Usually someone is bored — here, no one was. If you’re considering a tour like this, I’d recommend Eco Experience without hesitation. They know what they’re doing.

Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South cost?

    +

Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 623 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South?

    +

Around 218 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Costa Adeje : Cetacean sighting in Tenerife South start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
