A Wonderful Day!
Dan and Patricia were amazing! We had a great time and they were so kind and gracious, providing great cooking instruction and stories about their life in Romania. I highly recommend this activity as it gives an inside view of Romaniams and their tasty food. Also, when they realized I still needed to make plans for the rest of my day, they'made arrangements for me to have a walking tour to learn about Romanian history during and after the fall of the Communist regime. My whole day with them was wonderful and the food, company and information was perfect!
Response from the operator: Thank you. It was a great day! We’re happy that you felt good, and we wish you nothing but days like this on your travels!

Pati & Dan were fantastic...
Pati & Dan were fantastic hosts. They were welcoming and kind and the food was delicious too! Dan provided an excellent historical overview of Romania and he & Pati shared their love of travel. They clearly enjoy what they are doing!
Response from the operator: Thank you for visiting us! It was wonderful for us as well.

We did this workshop with...
We did this workshop with our family of four, what a valuable experience!! A very welcoming host and hostess who taught us a lot about Romania, while we prepared the meal together and of course enjoyed eating it afterward. Highly recommended for people who love food, a good chat and delicious Romanian cuisine. Fam. K. Netherlands
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was truly a pleasure to welcome your wonderful family and share a little piece of Romanian culture and cuisine with you. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the cooking experience, the conversations, and of course the meal we prepared together. Meeting guests like you is exactly what makes these workshops so special for us. We hope the memories — and maybe a few Romanian recipes — will stay with you for a long time. Thank you again for your recommendation, and we would love to welcome you back to Romania anytime!

Great food and better company!
We had a fun time doing this cooking class. We went just after Easter and the class started off with a traditional egg cracking. Both dishes we made were simple enough we will be doing them at home when we get back. The papanasi was so good and really easy to make.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re really happy to hear you had a fun time in the cooking class, especially right after Easter — the traditional egg cracking is always a joyful way to start. It means a lot to us that you found the dishes simple enough to recreate at home, and we’re thrilled that the papanași were such a hit (they’re one of our favorites too!). Safe travels and happy cooking!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cooking Class traditional food: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.
How much does Cooking Class traditional food cost?
+
Prices start at $107 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cooking Class traditional food take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.
Is Cooking Class traditional food worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking Class traditional food?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cooking Class traditional food suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cooking Class traditional food?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cooking Class traditional food start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bucharest?
+
On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bucharest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bucharest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
