Disappointed
We decided to do this tour because our older kids have enjoyed these types of tours. This one, however, was really expensive for what it was. The tour guide was new, which is fine, but she read the script nearly the entire time, making it fairly boring and disengaging. I was very disappointed that I spent $120 for this tour. We could have done something far more interesting, engaging, and fun. I would recommend spending the money on something else like a museum where you get the history in a more interesting way.

An interesting historical tour of downtown Colorado Springs that featured ghosts and a stake from 1871.
Interesting stories about the origin of Colorado Springs. Our tour guide did a great job and I lesrn screeching about ghosts, especially about what to look out for.
Response from the operator: Thank you for joining. You never know what could be around the next corner.

Thank you for an amazing experience!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Amazing Experience with Mrs. Vivi! I had an incredible time on the Walking Ghost & History Tour with Mrs. Vivi. She was truly awesome — super knowledgeable, funny, and had this calm, welcoming presence that made the whole experience feel personal. What I loved most was the one-on-one connection she naturally creates. It never felt rushed or generic; she really takes the time to talk with you, answer questions, and make the stories feel alive. Her energy, storytelling, and overall vibe made the tour both eerie and enjoyable in the best way. If you’re in Colorado Springs, you have to book a tour with her. She’s a gem of a guide and makes the whole experience unforgettable. -Alek & Daisy

So much cool history!
We loved touring with Vicki. (But we don’t know if we have her name right! ) the paranormal experiences happening all around us interested us greatly. Vicki had so much historical knowledge and delivered information with grace, honesty and fun.
Response from the operator: Very interesting area indeed. Hope to see you all again in the future at some of our other tours.

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Colorado Springs.
How much does Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Colorado Springs usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Colorado Springs is not rushed.
Is Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 169 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Colorado Springs, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour?
+
Around 59 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Colorado Springs can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Colorado Springs and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Colorado Springs - Guided Walking Ghost / History Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Colorado Springs within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Colorado Springs?
+
Colorado Springs runs Pikes Peak cog railway and jeep tours, Garden of the Gods drives and climbs, Manitou Springs walks, zip lines and Royal Gorge day trips. On Outty we rank every Colorado Springs experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pikes Peak Jeep Tour, Classic Food Tour in Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods Jeep Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Colorado Springs?
+
May to September, with cog railway seats selling out in July and August. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Colorado Springs?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
