    Brilliant experience

Natheef from Sazy tours was our driver/tour guide. Natheef was brilliant. He explained our various questions really well and had a great knowledge of the local sights and attractions. Natheef was the perfect guide for us making our Columbo experience truly memorable. Nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond. We were very lucky that Natheef was chosen to host our tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Karen, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I’m truly happy to hear that you had such a memorable experience in Colombo and that Natheef made your shore excursion so enjoyable. He is a very knowledgeable and dedicated guide, and it’s great to know that he was able to answer all your questions and make you feel comfortable throughout the tour. Your kind words about his effort and hospitality mean a lot to us. Natheef always tries to go above and beyond for our guests, and I will definitely share your feedback with him , he will be delighted to hear it. Thank you again for choosing SAZY Lanka Tours for your Colombo port excursion. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Sri Lanka again in the future. Warm regards, Zack SAZY Lanka Tours

Colombo, Sri Lanka highlights in comfort 😊.

Great tour with Zach in a brand new spacious and very comfortable, air conditioned SUV. We saw all the highlights of Colombo, including the new Port of Colombo development area. It provides a great view looking back on the city landscape. Zach gave us good commentary & lots of information about Colombo & Sri Lanka. Thank you for the great, very comfortable tour. We highly recommend 🌟.

Response from the operator: Dear Christine, Thank you very much for your kind review. It was truly a pleasure meeting you both and showing you around Colombo. I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and felt comfortable during the journey. Colombo has changed a lot in recent years, and I’m glad you were able to experience highlights such as the Port City area and the beautiful views of the city skyline. Your recommendation means a lot to me and to SAZY Lanka Tours. It was wonderful spending time together and sharing some stories and information about Colombo and Sri Lanka. Wishing you both many more wonderful travels, and I hope we will have the chance to welcome you back to Sri Lanka again someday. Warm regards, Zack

A great city tour when in transit

We had 4 hours between our cruise arrival and flight departure. The port is a bit confusing, but Sazy Lanka communicated well and our driver was waiting at the terminal gate. We did not have time for everything, but visited the Tulip tower, mall and other city highlights before being dropped at the airport in good time. The tour is much better priced than available as a cruise excursion and you can tailor it, like us, to suit the time you have.

Response from the operator: Dear Steven, Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. We’re delighted to hear that your Colombo city tour during transit went smoothly and that everything was well coordinated from the port pickup to the airport drop-off. We’re glad you were able to visit key highlights like the Lotus Tower, shopping mall, and other city attractions within your limited time. Providing flexible, well-timed private tours especially for cruise passengers and transit travelers is something we truly value. Thank you for choosing SAZY Lanka Tours, and we hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Sri Lanka. Warm regards, Zack SAZY Lanka Tours

Great 4 hour trip around Colombo, Sri Lanka

Great guy - Zak - met us at the port in Colombo. We was quite early but Zak was prompt picking us up at the requested time of 08.30am. He took us to see the historic mosque - Jami Ul Alfar Mosque, followed by a brief stop to grab a couple of coconuts and drinking them, we then visited the Lotus tower where we not only had a great view from the 29th floor but also had fun with the Pixels. From there we visited Independent Square before moving on to seeing two wonderful temples. Having taken a breather over a cup of tea (which tasted lovely) our final stop was at a site by the sea which is a new City being built which was pretty good to see. Overall we had a great experience made easy with our friendly driver, Zak. Thank you Zak! 🙏

Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Colombo.

How much does Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Colombo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Colombo is not rushed.

Is Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Colombo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Colombo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Colombo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Colombo Port Private Shore excursion and Tours start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Colombo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Colombo?

    +

On Outty we rank every Colombo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Flexi dates on all 5 to 7 days packages for car and English speaking driver, Sri Lanka Personal Tour Driver in private vehicle, 08 Nights in Magical Sri Lanka. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Colombo?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Colombo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
