Trip with Paulo Moreira
My husband and I, had a great trip with Paulo to The university of Coimbra and its vicinity, the Chapel and the library, then we went to Aveiro and took the boat Ride which he helped us to get at a discounted rate, we visited the fish market as well and we had a walk in the city streets. As for Paulo he is one of a kind, he is very experienced and he helped us in choosing the souvenirs and the food we had at lunch. He showed us the best spots in both cities where we can capture unforgettable photos. Great trip, great Guide highly recommended
Response from the operator: Thank you and hope to see you again some day. It was fantastic to meet you. Thanks again for choosing us to be your guide in Portugal. Travel regards

Travels with Paulo
Paulo Moreira of Real Embrace Portugal met my wife and I in the hotel lobby in Lisbon promptly at 9 am, escorted us to his car and took us on a not-to-forgotten, one-day journey to Coimbra and Aveiro. He didn't miss a beat for the next 11 or 12 hours of meticulously planned sightseeing. It was maybe a two-hour drive to Coimbra from Lisbon -- through some beautiful countryside -- and Paulo provided an informative and entertaining narrative. He led us on a personal tour of the University of Coimbra -- the oldest in Western Europe--and its adjoining library and royal palace. The trip out on a balcony ledge with its stunning view of the town and its seven hills spread out below was a killer. The university tour was probably the best part of the trip for me -- amplified and enhanced by Paulo's knowledge of the country and its history. He followed with a trip to nearby Aveiro where he surprised us by arranging a ride on one of the picturesque boats that ply the canals in this beautiful old city. His restaurant suggestion for lunch was spot on -- and not expensive. If you can ever travel with this guy in Portugal, do it. No questions asked. But be prepared for a long, action-packed day.
Response from the operator: Thank you Peter

A good combination
We wanted to go to Coimbra and had not heard about Aveiro till I found this trip We loved both places. Paulo was a good guide and knowledgeable. The trip was private and included s ride down the canal in Aveiro. We ended the day with a taste of Port and ovos moles pastry.
Response from the operator: Thank you!

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $235 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Coimbra and Aveiro Full-Day Private Tour from Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
