Cochin City Tour visiting Chinese Fishing Nets and Churches.

Cochin is a charming little town, and the tour provided great insights into the various sites we explored. A highlight of the tour was visiting the Chinese Fishing Nets, where our guide explained the traditional fishing process. For those interested, you could even pay the owners to lower the net into the water and pull it up. Another fascinating stop was the Christian Church, where we saw the Punkah Wallah outside, pulling a rope attached to pulleys to fan the congregation inside. It was a unique and memorable experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the great review of our tour. We will be committed to get the entire satisfaction for the travelers who book our tours and our guides will turn every stone to give back every penny the travelers spend on their holidays. Thank you again We will always remain committed. Joyce Xavier Excel India Tours Kochi, India.

    Highly recommended

Our tour guide was Mr Lalan Mon who proved to be a font of knowledge. Not only did he explain the history of the buildings and area but educated us on the flora. We visited the beach to see the fishing nets in action, the Dhobi Khana Laundry, Church of St Francis, the spice market, Jew town and Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace to name a few. We even got to see the location of the second series of The Real Marigold Hotel. The highlight of the day was the Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace, where our guide explained in great detail the story of the wall murals. The final stop was the Perfume Shop which surprisingly turned out to be very interesting. Excellent contact from Joyce at Excel India throughout and a brilliant tour guide, would highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Highly appreciated the overwhelming review which will definitely give us inspiration to more dedication and purpose of popularizing this region as one of the best tourist destinations. Lalan Mon our guide will be a model of a guide to all guides here. Thank you...our life is indebted to the travellers.

Joyce was a very obliging guide

Before we book the tour we can speak about any thing we want to do. He organised that in a perfect way. Very special was the tour through the traditional vegetable and meat market to see how is the real life in Cochin. I traveled with my family and we have a very safe feeling through the hole tour. Ask him if he can organized a traditional lunch during the Tour and let you surprise. We enjoy every minute on the tour. Joyce.... That was very very good.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the 5 Star review.... success of the tour depends on how best you respond to my efforts to give you a memorable tour. Thank you for the positive and encouraging reactions when I took you to the places that show day to day life of the people of Kochi. Looking forward to serve you or your recommended people coming to Kochi.

Is Cochin Over View - Private & Group Tour Options. Free Pickup Drop worth it?

    +

That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kochi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Cochin Over View - Private & Group Tour Options. Free Pickup Drop?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kochi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kochi and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Kochi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kochi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Local Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pickup From Cruise Ships. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kochi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kochi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
