Fort Kochi
You will be welcomed by Globes Travel representative & your private guide at the pier & will be taken to Old Cochin for Cochin Heritage tour. Your tour comprises of visit to the Dutch Palace (closed on Friday). It was built by the Portuguese, and presented to the Raja of Cochin in 1555. Though built by the Portuguese, it is popularly known as the 'Dutch Palace', as the Dutch renovated it during their brief reign here. The glory of the Palace lies in the murals which are in the traditions of Hindu Temple Art. You will continue with a visit to the Jewish synagogue (closed on Friday noon & Saturday). Built in 1568 A.D, it includes The Great Scrolls of Old Testament and a number of copper plates inscribed in the Hebrew Script, and are still preserved in the Synagogue. Dutch cemetery which was constructed in the year 1724 and considered as one of the oldest cemeteries in India. Indo-Portuguese museum located in the garden of Bishop’s house is the best place to gain insights into the Portuguese culture and India’s first Catholic communityThe next stop on your tour will be a visit to St Francis Church. Built by the Portuguese in 1510 A.D, it is believed to be the oldest European Church built in India. Vasco-da-Gama was buried here, and fourteen years later, his mortal remains were taken to Portugal. Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica was constructed by the Portuguese during the year 1505 and is one among the two churches which the Dutch refrained to demolish. The current structure of the church as we see it today was renovated by the British in the year 1887. You will have the opportunity to also see the Chinese fishing nets at the entrance to the harbor, and the mechanical method of catching fish by local fishermen in Fort Kochi. At the end of your tour you will be returned to the port.

Mouth-watering food and enriching experience.
It was a wonderful and overall exciting experience. It was my first visit to Kerala and the enriching and soothing emotion the trip felt in my can not be described in literal words. The guide and the staff were very friendly and always ready to assist me no matter what. The food was flavorful, mouth-watering, and delicious. We did little shopping and learned a lot about the historical importance of Cochin Heritage. I would like to thank our support mechanism in Cochin and this Heritage tour The Gloves travel to make it.
Response from the operator: Thanks Mr Nishsnt

Local flavors and not just tourist highlights
This was my first visit to India and the Cochin region, and Rajesh was wonderful in the arrangement he made for our group. The transportation was comfortable, and the guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We were fortunate to take other excursions through Globes Travel during our visit, and we were very pleased with each one. It gave us an opportunity to see the area, but also experience local culture and not just main “tourist attractions.” I would highly recommend Rajesh and his agency to travelers.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking your valuable time and write a travel testimony for us.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cochin Heritage Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kochi.
How much does Cochin Heritage Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kochi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cochin Heritage Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kochi is not rushed.
Is Cochin Heritage Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kochi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cochin Heritage Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cochin Heritage Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cochin Heritage Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kochi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kochi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cochin Heritage Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kochi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kochi?
+
On Outty we rank every Kochi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Local Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pickup From Cruise Ships. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kochi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kochi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
