The Lemosho route is considered one of the easier routes on Kilimanjaro, as its longer itinerary allows for better acclimatization. However, hikers will still need to ascend the Barranco Wall and climb steeply on summit night. The 8-day Lemosho climb gives one of the highest success rates, rather than trying to squeeze the climb into 7 days. The extra day allows for a shorter pre-summit day, meaning that you arrive at base camp by lunchtime, fuel up with food, and tuck up in your tent to rest for what will be a tough summit ascent starting at midnight. Experienced and already acclimatised mountaineers may opt for the more difficult 7-day ascent along the Lemosho route. No technical climbing is required, but a good level of fitness is recommended.

    Honeymoon trip

It was an amazing experience! I reached out to Fraizer to organize my honeymoon, including our desired accommodations and activities. From our arrival until our departure, everything was perfectly arranged. Initially, we ascended Mount Kilimanjaro, and the entire crew was exceptionally wonderful and welcoming. Mama Mariam and Emanuel were particularly friendly and kind to us. The rest of the team provided significant assistance during the trek, and the food, prepared by Chef Waziri and Monglie, was also delightful. We truly felt like a family throughout the eight-day journey. Following that, we embarked on a safari and met Manuu, who proved to be an outstanding guide and driver, possessing extensive knowledge, so please feel free to inquire about anything that comes to mind. Ultimately, I am truly grateful for all the meticulous arrangements they made for us; it was truly remarkable.

Kilimanjaro Tour with Pinnacle Adventures - Do it!!!

The best company to make your dreams come true...choose PINNACLE!!! We wanted an adventure and they gave us everything we wanted. We thought we we're only coming to climb the Kilimanjaro but we ended up also finding another Family. Frazier as the Boss, the Guides, the Porters, the Cook and everybody else were absolutely amazing. Months before the Tour we got all the information we needed. Frazier had Packing tips, preparation tips, he adapted every little thing to our needs. We were able to ask him anything and everything at any time. Once we got going on the mountain we very quickly became more than a group, initially a good team and later on a tight family. Lots of cultural and native insights, lots of laughter and lots of compairing each other's home country. There was not one single thing that caused a problem and we always felt like we were in very good hands. Unfortunately my lungs gave me some problems after a few days and I was rescued from the mountain. Now here comes the thing that I didn't expect and I definetly am not used to from home. From the moment I landed Frazier was there to take care of me. He took me to the Hospital, organised and translated everything for me. He sorted the admin hurdles, got me a room, used his own money to buy me bedding, towels, 3 days worth of meals, toiletries etcetc. He never left my side because he said he was responsible for me. He never wanted any of the money back (of course I still gave it to him and more). The rest of the group made it to the summit and I was thrilled to see them a couple of days later. Summary: Fraizer and Pinnacle as a company will do EVERYTHING humanly possible to cater for your needs and make your dreams come true. Please don't hesitate to contact them, trust me you won't regret it!!! Hakuna Matata!!!

Response from the operator: I'm Truly out of Words, Marcel. What you just wrote is truly humbling, and honestly, the exact reason why we do what we do. Thank you so much for sharing with us your generosity and life, even for a little while, and thank you so much for trusting us enough to allow your wife to proceed without you. Don't stop trekking Mountains, just keep up the adventurous spirit! Peace & Love Bro... May we meet again

    Great Safari and Kilimanjaro Trekking

My wife and I had a great time on the 8 days Kilimanjaro Lemosho climb and 6 days safari following the migration. This was our first trip in Tanzania and it tuned out better than we thought it would be. Pinnacle planned and delivered perfectly. Our Kilimanjaro trip with Chief guide Abdul and his crew of porters, chef and his assistant Paul was full of many incredible moments culminating with our success at the summit. The safari in Serengeti with John our guide also very impressive. We saw 3 different river crossings. We were very impressed by the whole tour and will definitely return soon for a different experience.

Response from the operator: With gratefulness, Eric we can't express how grateful we are. Stay safe, stay blessed and welcome back

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.

How much does Climb Kilimanjaro 8-Day Lemosho Route with Stunning Scenic Views cost?

    +

Prices start at $3,817 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Climb Kilimanjaro 8-Day Lemosho Route with Stunning Scenic Views take?

    +

Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.

Is Climb Kilimanjaro 8-Day Lemosho Route with Stunning Scenic Views worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Climb Kilimanjaro 8-Day Lemosho Route with Stunning Scenic Views?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Climb Kilimanjaro 8-Day Lemosho Route with Stunning Scenic Views suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Climb Kilimanjaro 8-Day Lemosho Route with Stunning Scenic Views?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Climb Kilimanjaro 8-Day Lemosho Route with Stunning Scenic Views start and how do I get there?

    +

What are the best things to do in Moshi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moshi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
