Classic pictures from a clear boat

Our 2nd time taking this tour. First time for our friends. We loved it both times. It is an inexpensive tour and only lasts about an hour. That said, the short tour provides a chance to go out to the Arch, see the various beaches, and watch the fishes under the boat. You can take the coolest pictures of yourselves from the front of the boat. It makes for memorable moments and pictures. To be "clear"...this is not a glass-bottom boat, but a completely clear acrylic boat.

    The clear boat was...

The clear boat was awesome. I wasn’t expecting to capture this much Buick scenery in this ride. The operator was very friendly and helpful and capturing our moments through our camera. The overall vibe was A1. I would suggest you bring sandals or flip-flops so you would be comfortable on the boat and bring sunscreen.

they had no record of my reservation

I’m very disappointed. I booked in advance but when I arrived they had no record of my reservation. Staff told me the correct ticket cost $37 to be paid on-site and that my prior payment wasn’t valid. I left without the tour and have requested a full refund through Viator. Please be careful when booking.

made us wait without offering any real assistance

Unfortunately, our experience with this tour was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, the staff was rude and unhelpful. When we arrived and mentioned that we had a reservation, they couldn’t find it and made us wait without offering any real assistance. After insisting for a while, they finally let us join a boat, but their attitude remained unpleasant throughout. The tour itself felt like a total tourist trap — it lasted only a few minutes, and the focus seemed to be entirely on selling overpriced photos rather than providing an enjoyable experience. The “clear boat” concept was not what we expected at all, and the whole thing felt rushed and poorly organized. Honestly, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. The place has potential, but the lack of professionalism and the aggressive photo sales completely ruined it for us.

They will ruin your plans just like they ruined mine.

I had been saving up and searching for the best price for this activity, and finally made my reservation. When I arrived, everything turned into a complete nightmare. I got a bit lost finding the place, and once I finally showed up, the staff told me they had no record of my booking. After insisting, they suddenly admitted I did have a reservation — but then said there were no spots available and I would just have to wait. Absolutely unacceptable. This was supposed to be a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had already spent two hours getting there and had another excursion lined up afterwards. Instead of enjoying the gift I had carefully arranged, Envatours told me I needed to pay the full regular price ($37 instead of the $15 I had already paid) PLUS an extra $5 “fee” — and still with no guarantee of a spot. In other words: they take your money, then tell you to pay more, and still leave you waiting with no service. In the end, we didn’t do the activity at all. My boyfriend’s birthday surprise was completely ruined. This is beyond poor service — it is a scam. Do not book with this company. They are unreliable, dishonest, and has zero respect for customers’ time or money. They will ruin your plans just like they ruined mine.

Response from the operator: Dear Joe_G, We deeply regret that the tour did not meet your expectations, thanks for taking the time to let us know your feedback, it means a lot to us. We will be working hard on our flaws so you can give us another chance in the future. Best regards. -Judy.

Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.

How much does Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos cost?

    +

Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos take?

    +

Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.

Is Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Clear Boat Ride in Los Cabos start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
