Reliable, On‑Time, and Stress‑Free Transfer from Civitavecchia
Weeks before our arrival at Civitavecchia Port on May 4, I arranged a private transfer with Airport Shuttle Italy to take my wife and me to Roma Tiburtina Station for our Italo fast train to Venice. Our driver, Oleg, arrived exactly at 9:00 AM — perfectly on time. Communication from Airport Shuttle Italy was excellent throughout. They promptly acknowledged my booking, later reconfirmed it, and provided Oleg’s details in advance. Oleg himself messaged on the morning of pickup to confirm his arrival time. The drive was smooth, safe, and comfortable, and we reached Tiburtina with well over an hour to spare before our train. I even sent the company a message afterwards to let them know how pleased we were with Oleg’s service. Although this option costs more than taking the shuttle to Civitavecchia Station and connecting by train, the convenience, comfort, and stress‑free experience made it outstanding value for money for us. If we disembark in Civitavecchia again and need a transfer, we will certainly use Airport Shuttle Italy. Thank you to the company - and thank you, Oleg.

Nightmare and expensive transfer
We didn’t get the service we paid for which by the way was too expensive!!! We disembarked from a cruise and were supposed to be picked up inside the terminal. We were on time waiting and waiting and 20 minutes later the chofer called me and told me that we needed to take a shuttle and go outside the port (it was like 10 minutes far away) we had to walk with our luggage and carry them to the meeting point he was. The chofer was an old man that couldn’t carry the luggage so we had to loaded into the van. The a/c of the van wasn’t working, the old man stopped at a gas station just to fill up the van, he didn’t offer us to stop for water or anything. He never talk to us during the whole time.
Response from the operator: Dear Lucia, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few important points: 1. Port Regulations: Unfortunately, access to the cruise terminal area is subject to port authority rules, which can change without notice. On the day of your transfer, commercial vehicles were not allowed to enter the terminal area, and all passengers—regardless of service—were required to walk or take the port shuttle to the designated meeting point outside. This situation was beyond our control, and we did our best to inform you and assist accordingly. 2. Assistance with Luggage: Our drivers are instructed to assist with standard luggage to the best of their abilities, but they are not porters. Safety and driving responsibilities must come first. We regret if this caused any inconvenience. 3. Pricing: Our rates are calculated based on the type of vehicle, distance, and services included. We continuously monitor the market to remain competitive. For a private transfer from a port with multiple constraints, local taxis would typically charge significantly more than what was paid. We understand your frustration and apologize for any discomfort. While some circumstances were out of our control, we are committed to using your feedback to improve our service. Sincerely, Sara

Great transfers
We used Airport Shuttle Italy for all our transfers while in the Rome area. They were waiting for us at the airport (Thank you!), and took us right to our hotel. We were picked up several days later and taken to Civitavecchia to board our cruise ship. After our cruise, they came to take us to the airport for our flight home. Good rates, and reliable transportation for our family.

Why this scores 45
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Bracciano.
How much does Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $485 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Bracciano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Bracciano is not rushed.
Is Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Bracciano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Bracciano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Bracciano and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Civitavecchia Port to Rome City Center Transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Bracciano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lake Bracciano?
+
On Outty we rank every Lake Bracciano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Civitavecchia Shore Excursion: Best of Rome Private Tour, Food Tasty and History Tour in Civitavecchia, VIP Tour of Rome (3/5/8hrs) Colosseum & Vatican Museums. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Bracciano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Bracciano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
