What you get

    About this experience

I will accompany you around the Ancient Market of Civitavecchia to introduce you to the local products and traditions of our city. You will discover the true Italian cuisine as it has been handed down to me, both that of my region and other Italian regions. You will learn how to use the right ingredients, appreciate their absolute quality, and also use special tools. A vegetarian menu is also available on request. I will explain in detail how to prepare the recipes of the menu, and I will give you a printed version: with the technique you have acquired, in this way you can replicate the dishes of Italian cuisine at home. You'll have fun learning how to prepare dishes and getting your hands dirty, and eventually we'll enjoy what you've cooked, and you'll be sitting at the table with me and my family.

    Amazing food and instruction.

Learning the classic dishes of Roma is easy to do under Graziella instruction. She made it seem easy and was a pleasure to talk with. She and her husband made me feel at home and I enjoyed the food as much as their company. I have the recipes and hope to amaze my family back in the USA. Food, Friendship and wine - Perfect combo.

    Wonder cooking experience

    Wonderful experience

This was one of our favorite things to do on our trip. We were met at the cruise port and taken to the market. From there we went to graziella’s house for the cooking. She is a delightful person who is passionate about cooking. She also had her nephew there to help with translating and he loved to cook as well. We were the only people at the class that day which was very nice as we had all her attention! We made homemade pasta on the guitar along with a tomato sauce. Also did fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with cheese, anchovies and basil. After preparing our meal, ate and visited out on her patio. It was a wonderful way to spend our day!

    Fantastic Experience

Graziella and Giovanni are welcoming and friendly hosts. Our market tour was short due to weather and ship docking delays, but we were able to communicate easily and still do that part. It was fun learning about the local foods and food culture. The cooking class itself is in their home, and Graziella and Giovanna welcomed us like we were new friends. Graziella is a great teacher and we learned to make pasta on the traditional "guitar" equipment. The food was excellent and classic. Lastly, their cats were also excellent hosts and observers of our cooking techniques. We recommend this tour to anyone in Civitavechia. You get to be a part of a local family and learn their traditional recipes. It's a unique experience that will talk about for years.

Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Bracciano.

How much does Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class cost?

    +

Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Bracciano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Bracciano is not rushed.

Is Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Bracciano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Bracciano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Bracciano and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Civitavecchia Market Tour with Private Cooking Class start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Bracciano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lake Bracciano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lake Bracciano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Civitavecchia Shore Excursion: Best of Rome Private Tour, Food Tasty and History Tour in Civitavecchia, VIP Tour of Rome (3/5/8hrs) Colosseum & Vatican Museums. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lake Bracciano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lake Bracciano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
