Don’t book, it was not good! 0/10
Don’t recommend at all, not professional. Your guides didn’t speak very good English, not many instructions were given and didn’t feel completely safe. They took photos of us but then never showed them to us or offered them to us to buy. Also there’s NO TRANSPORTATION BACK. We don’t speak Spanish and we were stuck in the middle of no where and had no clue how to get back. The snorkeling itself was awesome, but everything else was not good. I recommend somewhere else!
Response from the operator: The tour is 100% safe, so you must follow the indications of the guides. You wanted to do whatever you wanted! You think you are coming to Mexico to do everything you can't do in your own country.

AMAZING SNORKLING TOUR
The tour was amazing, the guides where great and the gentleman that was arranging the tour spoke great English and made sure we were looked after. We chose the option with food included and the restaurant was really good authentic Mexican food.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your comments and for your trust in us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the tours in Bariloche! For your next trip to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Dominican Republic or Mexico count on us! =) Regards, Guido. ParaViajantes Bariloche

Do not book through Trip Advisor
The reef was great, but I cannot recommend booking with this company through Trip Advisor. I was looking to start early and wanted to maximise the amount of time spent snorkeling (didn't really care about the beers and lunch) so I booked this tour, even though it was $40 USD more expensive than the alternatives, as it seemed to be offering more swimming time. Booked for 10am, arrived at the pick-up spot at 9:50am. Met one other tourist on the same tour, who had booked it for $60 USD. I guess I'm the fool there for paying more. After a while we were collected and walked to a man in a Gabo's tours shirt, who informed us that due to weather delaying other passengers we would not be leaving until 11am. I'm pretty sure this was not true, they had merely handed us off to another boat which didn't have sufficient passengers to be worth heading out. Came back at 11am, we didn't get underway until 11:30am, and then we waited for a further half an hour at a different dock for two other passengers. The tour boat was neither ParaViajantes or Gabo's tours but instead Magic Island. The reef and El Cielo were amazing, the Magic Island crew were great, but we maybe missed one of the stops? We only stopped three times (including the lunch) so I was unclear of the first stop was both Colombia and Palancar reefs (reads on Trip Advisor like they should be two separate one hour snorkels). Would have liked more snorkel time in general. Beer and the ceviche after were nice though. Look, I get it. Weather is unpredictable, you don't want to send a 15 person boat out with 2 people on it and other passengers can throw off schedules. But based on my experience I cannot recommend booking this company through Trip Advisor. Instead I'd recommend turning up at the dock, finding any snorkeling boat that's leaving soon and haggling a price. You'll get the exact same experience but likely cheaper and at a time that suits you. And if that happens to be with ParaViajantes (or Magic Island) you'll probably have a good time.
Response from the operator: There is nothing we can do, if the weather is bad, and it delays our tour day. We delay everything, taking care of the well being of our passengers. We regret your comment of 1 star when you say that the tour was fantastic! Unfortunately your comment does not reflect the rating you have given us.

Not the greatest.
The snorkeling sites were great. The"lunch" was unsanitarily prepared fruit and chips. The boat ride was so rough, one of our party got sick over the side (the seas were perfectly calm btw). The boat was hard to get in and out of. 2 crew for 10 people. We have done this for before and it was incredible.
Response from the operator: Hello, how are you? the food is not lunch, it is a lunch so that you are not hungry, a snack of seasonal fruits, ceviche, guacamole and nachos. About the sea, if it is moving, the truth is that we cannot control nature. Hopefully next time you will have a better experience. Regards

Great trip but needs better communication and coordination from organisers
A wonderful peaceful day out on the reef. I was a solo traveller and the guide and family who were travelling on the day made me feel welcome and I looooved the ceviche and atmosphere they cultivated. Only issue I had was I booked on the early departure and was told to come back an hour later after the guide and team showed up 30 - 40 mins late due to the ferry being late from playa del carmen. I understand delays happened but I also travelled from playa del carmen the same morning but got in early for the early departure. My suggestion would be to ensure guides are on the earlier ferry and also if you are going to push someone to a later departure- please communicate this prior to post arrival as I would have moved my plans around. Great product but better organising needed.
Response from the operator: Hi, how are you doing? we are glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour with us. We are sorry for the delay we suffered, but it was beyond our agency's control, the shipping company that moved the staff, suffered technical problems, and for that reason, it has been delayed. These are unforeseen events that may arise! We look forward to your next visit to Mexico to continue enjoying the Riviera Maya with us!

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 88 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour?
+
Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cielito Cozumel: Mexican Caribbean Snorkeling Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
