Fun night with family
Fun experience. Good food, Alcoholic drinks extra but very reasonably priced. Seating is tight but great for meeting people. Had so much fun socializing that barely took in the harbour sites. Boat does not have outdoor viewing deck so you are at an assigned table for the duration of the cruise.
Response from the operator: Hi Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear you had a fun Christmas Day dinner cruise and enjoyed the food, reasonably priced drinks, and the social atmosphere on board. We appreciate you mentioning the seating and indoor dining setup as well — it’s helpful for future guests to know what to expect. It’s great to hear the night was such a good time that the harbour views almost became secondary! Thanks again for cruising with us, and we hope to welcome you and your family back on board in the future. Kind regards, Vagabond Cruises

Disappointing Xmas Lunch.
Xmas day lunch was very disappointing. The food was not edible. The turkey was similar to a sliced pack that I would get in Cole’s. I was afraid to touch the oysters or prawns as they were not on ice. The beef brisket was cremated and the desert was burnt. There was no gravy or any sauce options with the turkey and ham also. Overall very poor experience. We spent a lot of money and were expecting a nice lunch. I left the boat feeling hungry and went and got food afterwards.
Response from the operator: Dear Annaliese , Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your Christmas Day Lunch Cruise. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations, particularly given the significance of the day and the investment involved. Food quality and presentation are extremely important to us, and it’s disappointing to hear that the Christmas menu did not meet the standard you were expecting on the day. Your comments have been reviewed internally with our catering and operations teams as part of our post-event debrief. Christmas Day is one of the most important services of the year for us, and we regret that you left feeling unsatisfied. We appreciate you raising these concerns, as feedback like this helps inform ongoing menu planning and service refinement for future peak-event cruises. Kind regards, Vagabond Cruises

Christmas dinner cruise lots of fun.
It was fun, the crew were well organized and helpful we got to see all the sites. Only problem we saw was there was a drink package related to the cruise. Best we can tell that was not advertised on Victor’s site. Nonetheless less we bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed that.
Response from the operator: Dear Robert, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your Christmas Day Dinner Cruise. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the experience, found the crew well organised and helpful, and were able to take in the sights around Sydney Harbour. We also appreciate your comment regarding the drinks package. Inclusions and optional upgrades can vary depending on the booking platform, and we understand this can sometimes cause confusion. We’re glad to hear you were still able to enjoy the evening with a bottle of wine on board. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back on board in the future. Kind regards, Vagabond Cruises

Amazing Christmas event
So much fun and a great way to spend Christmas! I didn’t have any family or friends while I was in Australia for work but quickly made friends on this cruise! Amazing food and outstanding views!

Lunch Cruise
Family went on an amazing lunch cruise. Gabriela the cruise director ensured every person on board was happy and all their needs met. Fantastic fresh seafood , vegetarian options also available. The buffet presentation and boat was so clean, table presentation etc. All staff were amazing and so helpful. The family not only were able to enjoy the views of the harbour but were able to do so with great food and drink, and smiling friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Dear Shay652017, Thanks so much for the great review! We're absolutely stoked that you and your family had such a great time on our Sydney Harbour lunch cruise and that you enjoyed the food, drinks, service, staff and atmosphere. Thank you for choosing Vagabond Cruises and we hope to see you again in the future! Kind regards, Vagabond Cruises Team

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Christmas Day Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
