Overall a good experience
As far as the tour part of this experience, I would say we enjoyed it and got exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful Mayan ruins, gorgeous cenotes to swim and take pictures, and a short stop in the small town of Valladolid. That being said, it is a very long day especially if you're coming from Tulum or Cancun. The tour officially starts from Playa Del Carmen so a series of vans pick people up from hotels across the region and meet there where you board a bigger more comfortable bus. It's a big operation with other tours and many other people, so make sure you are constantly asking and confirming your exact pickup point, line, bus, etc... both going there and returning. Other than that, be sure to bring cash for the additional 1250 fee per person, as the tour price does not include it. And just be prepared for a really long day!

A good option for lots of sightseeing but beware the sketchiness
This trip was good value for money but long! 15 hours from pick up to drop off. It was a good option to see a lot in one day if you are up for it. Beware some of the sketchiness though. The tour guide tried to get me to exchange pesos for Australian money he just happened to have on him. He said it was a tip but he had an envelope full of fresh $50s. Also something failed on the bus and the last hour there was an overwhelming smell of stale urine. Everyone has their noses in their shirts.
