Amazing Family Experience with Tulaka Mexico & Saul!

Booking a private tour with Tulaka Mexico Travel and our guide Saul was hands down the best decision we made on our trip to Cancun. From the very beginning, Saul made everything easy—he was responsive, professional, and truly understood what I was looking for when planning a family-friendly adventure. We chose the Private Transportation with Expert Guide Full Day Tour, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Saul picked us up right at our resort in a spacious, comfortable van that fit my husband, myself, and our three kids perfectly. On the drive to Chichén Itzá, he shared fascinating history about the Maya people and culture, making the ride both educational and engaging for all of us. At Chichén Itzá, Saul acted as our personal guide, pointing out hidden details and ensuring we didn’t miss anything important. His knowledge and passion really brought the site to life for us and kept even our youngest interested. He then took us to a fantastic local restaurant for lunch, followed by a stop at Cenote K’om H’a. This was such a highlight—beautiful, safe, and perfectly suited even for my son who was in a cast. We ended the day in Valladolid, where Saul introduced us to the best coconut ice cream we’ve ever had before returning us to our resort. To top it all off, when we realized we had left our souvenirs in the van, Saul kindly went out of his way to bring them back to us that same night. That level of care and thoughtfulness speaks volumes about the kind of guide he is. This tour was everything I hoped for and more. My kids (ages 5, 7, and 9) were engaged the entire day and are still talking nonstop about what they learned. If you’re traveling with kids—or even without!—I can’t recommend Saul and Tulaka Mexico highly enough. Truly unforgettable.

Response from the operator: Wow, what an incredible review!!!! Thank you so much! We’re truly thrilled to know your family had such a meaningful day exploring Chichén Itzá, the cenote, and Valladolid. Sharing our history, culture, and flavors with curious travelers like you is exactly what drives us. Hearing that your kids are still talking about the experience makes our hearts full! We’re so happy everything from the stories on the road to the ice cream in Valladolid helped make your trip unforgettable. Thank you for trusting Tulaka Mexico for your adventure. You’ll always have friends here in Cancún ready for your next journey through Mexico! Tulaka Mexico Crew

Fun and informative! Saúl and Fernando made sure we had a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Had a great time with Saúl as our guide taking us to Chichén Itzá, swimming in a beautiful cenoté, an authentic Yucatán lunch (we made our own tortillas!), a quick trip to Valladolid for a stroll and some coconut ice cream in the central plaza, and tequila tasting at a local distillery. A full and fun day with good energy and many cultural and historical details! And a special shout out to Fernando for making sure we traveled comfortably and arrived safely to each destination.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Kim, for such a glowing review! We’re thrilled to hear you had a unique and memorable day exploring Chichén Itzá and the Yucatán with us. It sounds like you truly embraced every moment, from tortilla-making to cenote swimming and indulging in that delicious coconut ice cream! 🌟 We’re so happy that Saúl’s guidance and Fernando’s care made your experience comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you for recommending us—it means the world! We’d love to host you again for more adventures in Mexico. — Team Tulaka Mexico Travel 🇲🇽✨

    Great Chichén Itza Tour Experience

Saul was fun, knowledgeable and totally flexible to our needs. The history and monument were amazing but his choice of authentic lunch location and a private cenote were unexpected bonuses.

CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $181 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does CHICHEN-ITZA MARAVILLA - Cenotes & Valladolid Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
