Highly recommend this small group van tour
This was a very well organized trip I will recommend to all my friends Pablo and Heber were a great team. Both are incredibly knowledgeable of all things Mexico and Pablo is a legit archaeologist. I recommend taking a smaller group in a van so you avoid the crowds, getting to Chichen Itza and the cenote early to avoid all the crowded and heat. It was great value at $150 per person plus the $45 each for entry to Chichen Itza.
Response from the operator: ⚡ Reviews like yours charge us with so much energy to keep pushing for the highest standard across every part of what we do! We are absolutely thrilled to read that you had such an enjoyable time exploring the history with Heber. 🎟️ Smart timing, no crowds: Drawing on over 15 years of experience crafting our routes, securing tickets in advance helps us dodge the huge crowds so you can experience every site with real peace of mind. 🌿 History brought to life: Having a guide who shares the ancient Maya world with true passion and clarity makes every single stop mean so much more. 🥤 Comfort on every ride: Taking care of you on the road is essential. We make sure you travel in fresh, air-conditioned transport with cold water on hand to stay well hydrated throughout the day. 🤝 If your loved ones or friends are heading to the Riviera Maya soon, tell them to get in touch with 🔹Excursiones Riviera Maya🔹!

If I could give 10 stars I would!
This review is actually for the Chichen Itza, cenote and Coba tour as we received a free upgrade after the original tour on 5 June was cancelled. Jesus is an amazing guide, not only did he do all of the driving, he gave us all the benefit of his historical knowledge. He got us to all three activities and back to Playa del Carmen in good time. Thank you for the upgrade, we didn't expect to get to see Coba, and to see it alongside one of the Great Wonders of the world was a real treat.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had such a wonderful experience with us. We truly appreciate your feedback. We would be incredibly grateful if you could recommend us to your friends and family for their future tours. Your recommendations mean the world to us and help us continue doing what we love. Thank you once again for choosing us!

Fantastic Tour A Must Do
Fantastic day with experienced and knowledgeable tour guides. A second hour of free time at the ruins to explore and shop would have made it a perfect day.

Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 62 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chichen Itzá, Cenote Ik Kil, Valladolid Premium Small Group start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
