Great Experience
Thoroughly enjoyed the Chef’s Table experience. The food and wine were magnificent, and the host and chefs were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the produce. A thoughtful parting gift made for a perfect end to a memorable afternoon.

Wedding anniversary lunch
We went to The Lane to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. We decided to treat ourselves to the chef's table experience - so glad we did, it was so good. The chef's brought out each course, explained how it was prepared, where it was from, and a little about the farmers who had provided it. We were waited on by Ben who kept the drinks flowing, explaining to us about the wines that were matched to each course and gave us some history on the winery. A really enjoyable 4 hours that went by so quickly. Would love to do it again.

The Lane Vineyard Chef’s Table – A Wedding Gift to Remember
I booked the Chef’s Table Experience at The Lane Vineyard as a wedding present for my husband, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable gifts we’ve ever shared. From the moment we arrived, the setting was breathtaking—rolling vineyards, elegant interiors, and a peaceful atmosphere that made us feel instantly relaxed and welcomed. The staff were incredibly attentive and warm, and the head chef personally guided us through each course, sharing stories behind the ingredients and the inspiration for each dish. The seven-course menu was nothing short of spectacular. Every plate was a work of art, showcasing seasonal produce sourced from the estate and local growers. Each dish was perfectly paired with one of The Lane’s signature wines, enhancing the flavors and making the experience feel truly indulgent. What made it even more special was the intimacy of the experience. We weren’t just dining—we were part of a culinary journey. The chef’s passion and attention to detail shone through in every bite. It felt personal, thoughtful, and celebratory—exactly what I had hoped for when choosing a wedding gift. We left with full hearts, happy taste buds, and a new appreciation for South Australian wine and cuisine. If you're looking for a romantic, luxurious, and unforgettable experience, this is it.

My Favourite Winery in the Adelaide Hills
I have visited now for the second time, I have done the Chef's Tasting Table twice and to say it was sensational is an understatement, my forst visit the weather was a little kinder and was a visit with my girlfriends, the second visit was for my Birthday with just my husband, I had a phenomenal experience both times. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lois, my absolute favourite sparkling wine and became a club member after my first visit, receiving my regular delivery all the way up in Darwin, it's like Christmas every time I receive that delivery. I 100 percent recommend The Lane Vineyard for the ambience, the experience, the taste of the food and wine, and of course the scenery is spectacular, I can't wait for my 3rd visit next time I come down to SA.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chef's Table Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.
How much does Chef's Table Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $295 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chef's Table Experience take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.
Is Chef's Table Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chef's Table Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chef's Table Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Chef's Table Experience?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chef's Table Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Adelaide?
+
On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Adelaide?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Adelaide?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
