Right after booking, I...
Right after booking, I reached out to the office and they responded very quickly. They worked with our group to make it amazing for us. The person I had been communicating with was present to introduce our group to our tour guide and driver. Pipala was our guide and she had a wealth of information. She also suggested great places for photos of the group. We had a wonderful time. The office reached out after the tour to make sure we had a great time. We would use them again. We didn’t have the best views because of the weather. We were told September and October is the best viewing time.
Response from the operator: Dear Michelle Kimmel, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback. It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your group on our Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur tour. We are delighted to hear that our team was able to assist you promptly from the time of booking and tailor the experience to your group's needs. It was a pleasure meeting you before the tour, and we're especially happy to know that Pipala's knowledge, enthusiasm, and photography suggestions helped make your day even more enjoyable. Your kind words will certainly be shared with both Pipala and your driver. We are very sorry that the weather didn't provide the clear Himalayan views that Chandragiri is famous for. As you mentioned, September through November generally offers the best mountain visibility, although the weather in the Himalayas can always be a little unpredictable. Thank you once again for choosing us and for your thoughtful recommendation. We truly appreciate your support and would be honored to welcome you back to Nepal in the future. Whether it's another cultural tour, a Himalayan adventure, or our Everest Scenic Flight experience, we will be delighted to help you create more unforgettable memories. Warm regards, KJ Adventure Nepal & Team

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chandragiri Hills and Kirtipur Private Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
