Great company.. would recommend

Booked less than 12 hours A huge thank-you to. Driver, Shyam Guide, Pradip Pick was bang on time, the car was luxurious with air con and leather seats, so we thankfully didn’t stick to them. Water was also provided in the car. They both introduced themselves and instantly felt at ease, they were really friendly and spoke good English. They asked if we wanted walking poles and we opted in so we passed the office in route to collect. We were kept informed through out the journey and they pointed out attractions. We were asked if we wanted to start the hike at a moderate level or challenging. My partner opted for challenging which meant lots of steps! If I knew that I would have opted for the moderate route as when you get past view point one, it’s all steps. My partner managed to get to the top and I turned back around and the taxi driver met me at the resort in the middle of the hill which was called Haatiban. The driver accompanied me into the hotel, so I felt really safe. They were really accommodating. We didn’t feel under any pressure to do the hike as quickly as possible. After my partner arrived at the resort we headed off for lunch. We were given to choice of spice or no spice, we opted for non spice. We stopped at ghangri bar, which had a large menu and fresh drinks. All paid for as part of the package. All in all a very pleasant trek and the staff made the trip. I would recommend this company. Top tips.. Start the trek early morning or later in the afternoon when less hot, and perhaps do the moderate route so you don’t use all your energy at the beginning of the trek.

Response from the operator: Dear Cherrelleious, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It sounds like you had a fantastic experience with Shyam and Pradip. We're glad that their punctuality, friendly demeanor, and attentiveness made your journey enjoyable. We really appreciate your recommendation and opting for the moderate route and starting early or late in the day are great tips for future trekkers. Thank you for your positive review. We hope to welcome you back again soon on another great adventure with us! Kind regards, Breakfree Advetures Nepal +977 9851014557 (WhatsApp)

Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience cost?

+

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Champadevi Hike, Kirtipur Ancient City & Local Food Experience start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
