    A wonderful afternoon

What a wonderful afternoon, Fernando picked my mother and I up promptly at our hotel in Zurich and took us on a drive to the Rhine Falls, and helped us negotiate the large queues to get fantastic vantage points. He then took us back to Zurich for a tour of town and various vantage points before dropping us back to our hotel. If you need a tour guide, Fernando is your man!

    Amazing Swiss Experience

We traveled through Switzerland with 2 other couples, and I could not imagine a more enjoyable vacation. Ceilio was our tour guide, and by taking us to hidden gems he made the trip more personal and impactful. He was entertaining, very knowledgeable and professional. He made sure all our needs were met and helped us navigate any issues that came up. I would also like to thank Francisco, who had to the responsibility of getting us to the Interlaken train station one morning. He was our driver the previous day and I mentioned I was a little worried about getting everyone on the right train. He was not familiar with the Interlaken train station, so he took it upon himself to go the night before to the station, find an optimum place to park and then walk through the train station so he would know the quickest route to our car. The next morning instead of just dropping us off, he parked, took us to the right location and made sure we got onto the right train car. No stress! I would definitely recommend Swiss Epic Tours to anyone......Steve H.

Unforgettable cultural and scenic experiences with Swiss Epic Tours

We spent 5 days on private tours with Swiss Epic Tours. Our fabulous experience started from the first communication with Catharina. She responded promptly and thoughtfully to my (many!) email. She arranged our day tours with great consideration for my elderly mother in a wheelchair. We started with a Zurich city tour including a ferry ride and a visit to Lindt. The following days we visited Bern, Lucerne, the Bernese Oberland, Stein am Rhein and Rheinfalls. Nuno and Robi were our driver/guides and we couldn’t have asked for better service. They’re great company, good-humored, so knowledgeable, kind and accommodating and fun to be with. They shared interesting ‘fun facts’ and stories about the many places and we visited. On our day to the Bernese Oberland, Catharina arranged for us to take a local cable car up to Isenfluh. From Isenfluh, you’d have a direct view of Monch, Eiger and Jungfrau. It’s somewhat off the radar and just perfect for us as we had the cable car to ourselves. With a wheelchair, going somewhere quieter without the tourist crowds and visiting a local village was a dream! Catharina gleaned from our communications that this is the type of experience we desired. We then went to Grindelwald and had lunch at a charming family-run restaurant that overlooked all of Grindelwald. We were in Zurich during the Sechseläuten Festival (which I’d highly recommend) and much to our delight, Swiss Epic Tours obtained front row seats for the outdoor parade on festival day. Each day held something very special and because of Swiss Epic Tours, we were able to travel comfortably, see so many things and learn so much in a week’s time. Swiss Epic Tours did an amazing job of welcoming us and providing us with unforgettable experiences! Heartfelt thanks to Catharina, Nuno and Robi!

Response from the operator: Thank you so very much for your nice review! I am very happy to read that you had a good time in Switzerland, and would like to thank you very much for letting us be part of your journey! It has been an absolute pleasure to organize your trip, and to be on tour with you and your lovely family! I will pass on your feedback to your guides, I am sure they will be very happy to hear this. Thank you so very much one more time, and greetings and all the best to you and your family! Warm regards, Catharina

Central Switzerland (Private Tour): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.

How much does Central Switzerland (Private Tour) cost?

    +

Prices start at $695 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Central Switzerland (Private Tour) take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.

Is Central Switzerland (Private Tour) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Central Switzerland (Private Tour)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Central Switzerland (Private Tour) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Central Switzerland (Private Tour)?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Central Switzerland (Private Tour) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zurich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zurich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zurich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
