Incredible cenote experience!
We booked through the TUI App once we were in Mexico. We received email confirmation that we would get details the evening before. Irving met us at our hotel lobby on time & was a joy to guide us through the excursions. Irving was very knowledgeable about the local areas and was able to give us lots of insight into the geography & wildlife of the Cenotes we visited. The 1st Cenote we visited was the underground cave & it was incredible! Irving got lots of videos and photos around the cenote & stopped us at various points around it to point out key features and POI. We also had the cenote completely to ourselves! I would highly recommend Irving & this excursion for this experience!

Great private tour worth the price
With this private tour, it is well worth paying the premium for a flexible schedule and a well-educated guide fluent in English who can also act as your personal photographer. Our tour guide Isaac was well spoken and highly knowledgeable in the history of the cenotés when asked, but not overly chatty or intrusive. All the destinations weren’t too crowded and very comfortable to visit. The underground caves of Taak Bi Haa were stunningly beautiful. Cenoté Xunaan Ha was fun and refreshing as well. The only reason I’m giving this tour 4 stars instead of 5 is because Yal Kú Lagoon was fairly underwhelming. Apparently there are more fish to see depending on the season, but there weren’t very many when we went. Half of the lagoon was also covered with a bunch of seaweed, which made navigation difficult. Otherwise, it was a fantastic tour!

Irving the great guide and am awesome tour!
Irving was incredible. Honestly the best guide we have had. He was very knowlegable, kind, generous and friendly. He was super with our children aged 9 and 12. The tour itself was great value with each of the 3 places we visited being superb. They were clean, quiet and well organised. We adored the turtles, were exhilerated by the swimming in the cave and had fun jumpimg into the cenote. The whole experince cpuld not have been better. Thankyou to Irving for making it the best morning of our holiday. You are such a gentleman and have a greatvtaste in music!

Why this scores 86
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cenotes Private Tour VIP: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Cenotes Private Tour VIP cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cenotes Private Tour VIP take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Cenotes Private Tour VIP worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 115 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cenotes Private Tour VIP?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cenotes Private Tour VIP suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cenotes Private Tour VIP?
+
Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cenotes Private Tour VIP start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
