    Not worth it, very bad

Yesterday my friends and I went to celebrate the birthday of one of them, it was the worst tour, they sold us the VIP , almost $2,000 mxn, not at all the service is premium, there were not enough tables to sit, the service was lacking, they sold us premium bar and not at all it was the same as the regular, they ran out of everything before we left, bad that they sell you what is not. Total disappointment, nothing they promise. Sad but true. The boat service was fine, but at the beach club nothing to see. They get more people than they can.

Fun for an hour but no longer

Went here as a day pass beach club$75 pp , not the cleanest , sand has scattered rubbish from previous days (we arrived early and it was empty), food was worrying as it was left open and the amount of flies around wad not good, the poor barman surrounds by wasps crawling on bottles. Ants ants everywhere. Yes it looks pretty in pictures but it's the epitome of"Instagram vs real life" So many tours coming through every hour. Cool place to stop and chill for an hour or so not don't waste your time or money thinking it's a beach club to spend the day, it was chaotic. Staff were lovely though

Response from the operator: Mrs Loupa: Thank you for your review. We want to clarify that our beach is cleaned daily and that we follow strict hygiene standards for food and drinks; insects are natural in outdoor spaces by the sea, but our team does everything possible to minimize them. We understand that the arrival of tours can feel busy, but many visitors enjoy peaceful moments in our areas. We’re glad you appreciated the friendliness of our staff and hope you’ll give us another chance to provide an even better experience. Warm regards

    BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE PHOTOS

We went with a group of 4 friends, the guys on board were very nice and attentive. The tour was very quick but nice the beach with a the DJ was a good time but BEWARE we paid for photos and I didn’t receive any photos of myself (I took at least 20). I’ve been emailing the company over and over they keep saying tomorrow. Isabella took the pictures and I sent a copy of the receipt to the supervisor! BEWARE! We paid $100 for photos!!!

Response from the operator: Dear customer: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour, our crew on board, and the DJ beach stop. Regarding the photos, we completely understand how important they are for remembering your experience. We also want to clarify that your photo package was delivered successfully, and we appreciate your confirmation upon receiving it. We’re sorry that the wait caused frustration and led to a negative review before we were able to complete the process. Our team always does its best to deliver the material as quickly as possible, though on rare occasions it may take a bit more time. Thank you for your patience and for allowing us to resolve the issue. We remain committed to improving so that every part of the experience is as positive as the tour itself Warm Regards

    Disappointed...

If this is your first time in Cancun and you got this as a free gift for taking in a timeshare presentation, do it. It's a fun ride to the water between Cancun and Isla Mujeres to snorkel, then to the island for optional drives in golf carts for an hour to take in a great view, then lunch, then on the boat again to visit the north beach, to either swim, or go shopping, and back. The boat ride was festive, and everyone had a good time, but if you're actually looking to snorkel as I was, this unfortunately is not it. This is what constituted the "snorkeling" part of the expedition - we arrived at "the spot", and swam out a bit from the boat to a first, and then another spot next to it, and looked around below for 2-3 minutes at each spot. I don't know if this was their go-to plan, a back-up place, it was just a bad day, or the fish and coral went on vacation, but this was not a spot to see a thing - no fish, no coral, nothing interesting to see at all. The entire snorkeling part of the trip lasted maybe 15 minutes, if that. I don't mean to complain, but it seemed odd to take us to a spot with zero potential for seeing anything, except a few small non-descript sand-colored rocks on the floor bed (this after dreaming I'd be swimming through schools of fish). After we returned to the boat, my wife asked me if I saw the statue on the floor bed. "Uh...statue? Um, no, musta missed it". I realize most people are satisfied with the festive atmosphere of a party boat (which add to a fun day), but I was disappointed.

Response from the operator: Hello Good afternoon: Acoording to the tour sometime you will be lucky to see many fishes, and in the spot is obviusly in the area are many catamarans, boats , ferry, we are always finding a great place to do the snorkeling but the boats they move the sand that is in de deep of the see tha's why the visibility are around 70 % of the 100% , I invite you to do another activitiy we have en in the tour list and to chooce a sunny day depending of the forecast, Have a great day

    Too crowded

Website stated max of 35 people; I estimated over 50 on the boat, we booked upon this statement; paid more than competitors for smaller group on boat

Response from the operator: Dear Richard_C: We do an apologize for the confusion and for the inconvenience that you hadn't a good experience during your tour. This tour is shared, we invite you to check our other list of private tours. However, we'll definitely take your feedback into account. Have a nice day!

Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Catamaran Albatros Platinum & Beach club & Open bar & Isla Mujeres start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
