Best Bird Watching Tour We’ve Ever Had
Jason delivered an absolutely unforgettable bird watching experience—easily one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we started, his energy, kindness, and genuine passion for birding stood out. He didn’t just guide us—he completely elevated the experience. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we hoped for and more, taking the time to track down species we never would have spotted on our own. His knowledge is incredible, and the way he shares it makes the whole experience exciting and engaging. What really sets Jason apart is how much he cares—he’s patient, attentive, and truly wants you to have the best possible time. We never felt rushed, and every moment felt intentional and special. We had an amazing time, saw incredible wildlife, and walked away with memories we’ll never forget. 10/10 in every way—would recommend 100% without hesitation!

A fantastic day of birdwatching with Jason!
Jason made every single moment of our tour exceptional. He has a fantastic knowledge of birds (by their calls and morphology) and is very friendly. We had a wonderful day learning from him. He spots birds so quickly and accurately! This was the the experience of a lifetime! We will definitely try to book a tour with him on our next visit to Costa Rica.

Great day birding At Carara NP and surrounding area
We spent a wonderful day with Jason at Carara National Park and surrounding areas. He is a great guide and host. We started the day at a site he knew that had trees filled with parakeets, offering a cacophony of bird sounds to wake us up for the day ahead. Another site he knew had nesting scarlet macaws, offering a very up-close experience viewing the birds. Still another had a family of bat falcons. There were macaws near this site as well, until the bat falcons chased them away directly over our heads. We saw orange collared manakins doing their dance - a ritual he was able to describe in detail - and the long tailed manakin posing regally in a tree. Jason was adept at identifying birds by call and tracking them down for our viewing. And he is a gregarious and hospitable traveling companion, providing us with a delicious breakfast and lunch and a plentiful array of snacks and drinks throughout the day. We're very glad to have had the opportunity to spend the day with him.

Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience.: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quepos.
How much does Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience. cost?
+
Prices start at $295 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quepos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience. take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quepos is not rushed.
Is Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience. worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quepos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience.?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience. suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience.?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quepos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quepos and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Carara National Park Birdwatching Private Guided Tour Experience. start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quepos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Quepos?
+
On Outty we rank every Quepos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting Savegre Class II-III plus Waterfall Manuel Antonio, Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour - Longest Twin Zip Line in Central America, Waterfall Ziplining & Canyoning. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quepos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quepos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
