A truly wonderful and unique way to see around Sorrento area and the coast to Positano. So Interesting too!

This is a very special tour - and a truly unique way of visiting some beautiful places that are not usually seen by tourists. The drive in Silvana's car is very comfortable and during the drive Silvana explains all about the history and the reason these places are special. The rich green countryside around Sorrento is well worth seeing, especially as there are some incredible views over the bay to Vesuvius. Silvana takes the most scenic route to Positano. The tour stops to take advantage of photo opportunities, especially from Massa Lubrense with its amazing views over to Capri. We also visited the fishing village and the hamlet of Santa Maria Annunziata, made famous in the story of Gioacchino Murat and the Napoleonic wars against the British (who held Capri at the time). Silvana gives all the details of these and other fascinating stories, and is very knowledgeable about the area in many ways. She answered all our questions and will focus her talk on whatever aspect we want to know about. We visited local crafts people too, and learned about local arts and crafts - as well about how the tourist industry is impacting the area. Of course this is an area rich in lemon and olive groves, and no tour is complete without the chance to sample the local produce. . . Overall, we had a wonderful and fulfilling afternoon and evening. Can't wait to go back and do another of Silvana's tours. Thank you!

    Silvana's private car tour.

Silvana’s tour was an experience! It’s such a well-thought journey thanks to the places that only a local could know. A blow of fresh air from the mass tourism in the Sorrento peninsula. Silvana is a great guide because she combines professionalism with charisma and she’s also a very warm and sweet person. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
