This was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Laura was absolutely amazing. So friendly and welcoming. We felt blessed to be invited into her home and taught some amazing authentic family recipes. Her assistant was also very friendly and helpful. Loved every minute of it. Would highly recommend. Incredible experience!!

I would give this 10 stars if I could. This was one of the best cooking classes I've ever taken and it's all thanks to Laura and Ettore! xo

    Great cooking class experience

This was one of the best tours we have taken. Ivan was great, he took the time, with patience, to access our skills level. Each course was educational and fun to prepare. At the end we enjoyed a great meal overlooking Sorrento and the bay of Naples. Definitely will do again.

    'Italian Delight'

My wife and I booked a cooking class, thinking it would be a fun experience—but what we encountered was something far more special: a delightful, warming, and humbling few hours we’ll never forget. We were welcomed by Ettore, who invited us into his grandparents’ home—a place full of life and charm, with walls adorned in family photos from past to present, traditional Italian ornaments, and the kind of cosy atmosphere you’d imagine in an iconic Italian home. Soon after, we met Laura, who greeted us with the biggest smile. She instantly felt like our Italian mother—radiating warmth, kindness, and generosity. Ettore and Laura made us feel like family from the moment we walked through the door. We were led into the main living room and treated to a spread of Italian nibbles and drinks to settle in. Then it was into the kitchen for two hours of hands-on cooking. We learned how to make Sorrento-style gnocchi and a hearty pasta with potatoes—both rich in flavour and tradition, and an absolute joy to create and eat. We also made tiramisu, which was so delicious I ended up eating half of my wife’s! We laughed, we shared stories about Italian life and food, and for those two hours, we were transported into a different world. This was more than a class—it was an experience full of heart, and a memory we’ll cherish forever.

    Wonderful !!

We were graciously welcomed by Laura and Elena and enjoyed delicious appetizers with wine. We then headed to the kitchen to make “Tiramazing “ with Laura’s secret ingredients! We were able to find them in the grocery store and have since enjoyed the delicious tiramisu at home ! We then made wonderful gnocchi which we enjoyed. Laura then shared a classic homemade dish of potato pasta which was the first time we tried this amazing , delicious dish. We also enjoyed speaking with Elena about her studies. It was a beautiful evening with Sorrento locals. ! We really appreciated the hospitality. We would definitely do this again when back in Sorrento !

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.

How much does Cesarine: Home Cooking Class & Meal with a Local in Sorrento cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cesarine: Home Cooking Class & Meal with a Local in Sorrento take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.

Is Cesarine: Home Cooking Class & Meal with a Local in Sorrento worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cesarine: Home Cooking Class & Meal with a Local in Sorrento?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cesarine: Home Cooking Class & Meal with a Local in Sorrento suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cesarine: Home Cooking Class & Meal with a Local in Sorrento?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cesarine: Home Cooking Class & Meal with a Local in Sorrento start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sorrento?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
