    Beautiful Cenotes

We opted for the 3 cenote tour, in lieu of the ATV's, zip lines, horses, etc. It was still an awesome tour! It was beautiful, and calm, but still exciting and exhilarating! I would do this tour again 100%!

Response from the operator: Hi Tiana, Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed exploring the three cenotes and that the experience offered the perfect combination of tranquility and adventure. We’ll be delighted to welcome you back for another adventure in the Riviera Maya!

    Good value for the money.

The driver getting us to the venue was great, prompt, courteous and a little funny. The upselling and tips requests were a little over the top. I understand that tips are a significant part of the workers salaries, but it was everywhere I turned. I am not a drinker, so the tequila tasting was a waste, but from what I saw, they weren't stingy with it. The truck ride to the cenotes is very very bumpy, so hang on tight. The cenotes were nice, but not very big or deep. Overall it was a good experience and with the smaller groups (about 15 people) it gave us a chance to make new friends.

Beautiful Cenotes and Great Guide — Skip the Food Package

My husband and I did the 3-cenotes tour in Mexico and overall had a great time. The cenotes were absolutely beautiful, the water was refreshing, and the whole experience was really fun. Transportation was excellent — they picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel right on time. Our driver, Mauricio, was very kind, the car was clean, had AC, and the ride was smooth. Our guide, Miguel, was fantastic — friendly, helpful, and made the tour enjoyable. The transportation itself was fun, and we also enjoyed the little Mexican show with dancers, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the check-in process and, especially, the all-inclusive food package. Check-in felt a bit overwhelming because everyone seemed to arrive at the same time. During that process, we were strongly encouraged to buy the all-inclusive food package by the person explaining the tour details — who was also selling the package. It was almost the same price as the tour itself, and we were made to feel like we’d be starving because it’s a long tour. In reality, the food package is completely unnecessary. Time flies between cenotes, and you barely have time to eat. We weren’t hungry at the first cenote, and by the second one we realized the package was a waste of money. The food was very basic (chicken nuggets, fries, and small “mini sandwiches”), and honestly not very good. At the third cenote, food wasn’t even offered — only drinks — which made the package even more pointless. At the end, the tour already includes a snack (2 tacos), which is more than enough, and when we tried to order more tacos using the all-inclusive package, we were told it only applied to certain types. My advice: do not get the food package. Bring your own snacks if needed — you really won’t miss it. Despite that, the cenotes themselves, the guide, and the transportation made this a memorable and enjoyable experience. Just skip the food upsell and you’ll have a great time!

    Great experience - terrible upsell

Watch out for the upsell when you arrive. Offers all inclusive, but it's nothing but. Don't waste your money. Tour overall was good, despite being ripped off.

Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.

How much does Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes cost?

    +

Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.

Is Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cancun: Discover the Hidden Treasures: Exploring 3 Jungle Cenotes start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tulum?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tulum?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
