Beyond Words and A Must!!
There really are not enough wonderful words in the English language to describe this experience!!! From the communication and welcoming of the staff who go above and beyond, the education provided about the turtles and of course the amazing, incredible experience of releasing those little babies back into the sea against one of Gods most incredible sunsets is beyond words! It's a must for any age and a family memory your kids will never forget!

Best Part of our Trip
We did this experience with our 5 year old and 7 year old. It was a bucket list experience for sure and the highlight of our trip. We had some fun hiccups getting there but they went above and beyond making it work for us. We are so grateful and the pictures are a treasure.
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us for such a special bucket list experience! We are delighted to hear it was the highlight of your trip and that your children enjoyed it so much. It was a pleasure hosting your family, and we are so glad you treasure the photos. We hope to see you again! 🐢

Baby Turtle release in Cabo San Lucas
Amazing experience with Cabo Trek. The staff was excellent. We met them at their office in Cabo. We left in a small group in a comfortable van and went to the beach. We had refreshments and learned a bit about the turtles. We walked out on to the beach at sunset and we were incredibly fortunate to release 300 baby turtles. I don't think this is common. Extraordinary experience for all!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing this extraordinary experience! We are so happy you enjoyed the comfort of the tour and our staff. Releasing 300 baby turtles is truly a special and lucky occasion—what a magical sunset memory. We hope to see you again soon! 🐢

Interesting and unique experience
From the marina, you’re driven by van 35 min on the Pacific Ocean side to Rancho Carisuva. We were offered soda, water or Powerade on the drive. Upon arrival, a marine biologist told the group (there are other vans of people who arrive there as well) about the turtles which I thought was interesting. There is a restroom there and lockers. When the sun was about to set, we walked quite a long ways to the beach. Everyone got a bowl and then a newly hatched turtle was placed in each bowl. They counted down and we all released the turtles at the same time. We watched as they made their way to the water. Bring a jacket or sweatshirt as it got chilly.

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cabo Turtle Release: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.
How much does Cabo Turtle Release cost?
+
Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cabo Turtle Release take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.
Is Cabo Turtle Release worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 121 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cabo Turtle Release?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cabo Turtle Release suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cabo Turtle Release?
+
Around 42 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cabo Turtle Release start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?
+
On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
