Efficient and Well-Organised Transport to Machu Picchu

The bus service to and from Machu Picchu was very well organised and made what could otherwise be a busy and potentially stressful part of the journey remarkably straightforward. The staff were friendly and efficient, the queues were managed well, and the boarding process moved quickly despite the large number of visitors. The buses were clean, equipped with air conditioning and offered reasonably spacious seats, making the short journey comfortable. My advice to future travellers would be simple: arrive at the bus one hour before the entry time stated on your Machu Picchu ticket, and the entire process is likely to run very smoothly. The main drawback is the price, which some travellers may find somewhat high for a relatively short transfer. In addition, I received a message before my trip stating that tickets had to be printed on paper and that digital versions would not be accepted for boarding. This caused some unnecessary concern, particularly for travellers who no longer carry printed documents. Fortunately, this appeared to be an outdated automatic message, as there was no issue whatsoever using a ticket displayed on a mobile phone. While this did not affect the journey itself, updating the pre-travel information would help avoid confusion for future passengers. Another point worth mentioning is that both the drivers and some of the staff responsible for checking tickets had only a very limited command of English. This was not a problem for me, as the process is generally straightforward, but international visitors who do not speak Spanish may occasionally find communication a little challenging.

Do not use for bus tickets to Machu Picchu

This is effectively a scam. I mistakenly thought this was the official bus company, but it's just a re-seller — posing as a bus company — that charges more than double the official price. Moreover, they issued tickets for the wrong date and then didn't respond to emails. Avoid at all cost.

Not Machu Picchu Official Bus Provider

Be mindful that these guys are not the official Machu Picchu Bus service provider. Although their main website address says so (which i found really deceiving). I paid $35 for round way bus tickets while in the official website was $24. Don't get deceived and pay more

Disgrace

Absolute disgrace - you are charged $35 and then another $1 fee on top of that for the return bus trip. You then receive two tickets each with a face value of $12 printed on them. I don't know if it's possible to actually pay for the face value of the tickets or not. Leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

However, this typically requires waiting in the purchase line, which during busy hours can take 40–60 minutes or more. Our service provides electronic tickets secured in advance, allowing travelers to skip the ticket purchase line and proceed directly to the boarding queue. To provide this convenience, staff must physically obtain the tickets locally, stand in line on behalf of travelers, process the payment, and deliver the tickets electronically. The difference between the printed ticket value and the online price reflects this convenience service, handling, and payment processing. Not worth it

When I showed up at the Machu Picchu bus pick up area with my family, I was told that the Viator tickets where not valid. There is an official Peruvian ticket system used which does NOT recognize Viator apparently. Also the guild situation was unclear and we had to find our own and pay cash. Over all bad experience and would recommend people to go directly through official Peruvian site for bus ticket purchase.
