About this experience
1.Peles Castle was declared a museum in 1953. The building is the most visited museum in Romania that annually more than 300,000 tourists come to admire this special place in the Carpathians Mountains. Peles Castle has a total of 170 rooms and 30 bathrooms, but only 35% of the castle can be visited. The rooms that a visitor should not miss if he gets to the Peles Castle are: the hall of honor, the reception hall, the hall of mirrors, the great hall of arms, the concert hall, the imperial apartment, the Moor room, the Turkish room or the theater. In addition, rare books with the covers engraved with golden letters in the royal library impress travelers, especially for the secret door that is located behind a shelf. 2.Since 1970, the mine has become a tourist attraction, offering exceptional natural conditions as a result of its microclimate, rich in aerosols, which some believe effective in treating Respiratory disease.

What you'll see and do
Peles Castle
In the heart of Romania, tourists can admire a goal that seems detached from the tales. It is the Peles Castle, which attracts tourists from around the world, charmed by its beauty. Peles Castle is located in the mountain resort of Sinaia and it was the summer residence of King Carol I. Two years ago, foreign journalists have included the Peles Castle, alongside the Corvin Castle of Hunedoara, in the list of the most spectacular buildings of Europe. Peles Castle is one of the most important sights of the Prahova Valley, located in a spectacular place, where tourists can breathe fresh mountain air. The construction of the building began in 1875. The idea belonged to King Charles I, who, during his first visit to Sinaia was fascinated by these wonderful places and decides to build a castle here. But the choice of the placement of the Peles Castle on Prahova Valley was not at all accidental. That's because in the past, in Predeal was the border between Romania and Austria-Hungary. Thanks to the nearby power plant, Peles became the first electrified castle of Europe.

Wonderful experience!!!
We absolutely loved our tour guide/driver Radu!!! He was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. His English was very good so we had no problems communicating with him. We loved him so much that we also hired him to take us to Constanta and the Black Sea. On Sunday we hired him to take us to a Catholic Mass and a tour of the old town of Bucharest and the House of Ceausescu. He did all of the work in planning the day for us. He found a Catholic church and identified the mass times and got us to church in plenty of time so we would not miss Mass (which was very important to us). We highly recommend traveling with Radu!!! You will not be disappointed.

How far in advance should I book Bucharest Private Tour to Peles Castle & Largest Salt Mine in Eu?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. What are the best things to do in Bucharest?
+
On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bucharest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bucharest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
