What you get

    About this experience

This workshop takes place in a real jewelry studio and store, where guests work at the bench with the makers behind Mesteshukar Butiq. The craft is inspired by traditional Roma craftsmanship, combined with contemporary techniques, so the experience feels like being welcomed into someone’s everyday creative work rather than a staged class. With a maximum of four guests, there is time for personal guidance, a calm pace, and a design that reflects you, from the first sketch to the final polish.

    Excellent jewelry workshop!

Amir was a great teacher and we got to do most of the work ourselves. I now have a lovely new ring and pendant! Highly recommend.

    Fantastic, unique experience!

I was fortunate enough to have a 1:1 experience with Amir, who guided me through the process of making a pair of earrings. Since it was 1:1, I got to make something more intricate than what I had expected, and Amir showed me my options and gave me the opportunity to practice techniques on small scrap pieces before adding the details to my earrings. He was patient with me, and also shared stories of working with the Roma artists and his experience living in Bucharest as a person of colour. I’m in love with the earrings I created, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. They also have an adorable shop cat who adored getting attention - great bonus! The shop itself is a bit tricky to find, but there’s a video on google maps that was very helpful for me as a non-Romanian speaker. I highly recommend doing this class!

Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio The best souvenir I found in Bucharest wasn’t in a shop.

I attended this workshop today with Amir, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my time in Romania. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and creative. The workshop takes place in a real working studio, giving you the chance to experience a traditional craft process firsthand. We each chose a design at the beginning and were then guided through every step of creating our own piece, learning techniques and working with the materials ourselves. What made the experience especially meaningful was leaving with a beautiful piece that I had made with my own hands. Knowing that these traditional designs are crafted from materials such as brass and copper made it feel even more connected to the local culture and heritage. It is something I will treasure for years as a reminder of my time in Bucharest. Romania has such a rich tradition of craftsmanship, and this workshop offers a wonderful way to experience that heritage through making rather than simply observing. Whether you are travelling solo, with a partner, or with friends, and whether you are naturally creative or trying something new for the first time, the experience is accessible, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding. A special thank you to Amir, who was a wonderful host and teacher. His warmth, patience, and guidance made the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable from beginning to end. If you are looking for an authentic, hands-on experience in Bucharest and want to take home something far more meaningful than a souvenir bought in a store, I cannot recommend this workshop highly enough.

How much does Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio cost?

    +

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.

Is Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bucharest Jewelry Making Workshop in a Working Studio start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bucharest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bucharest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bucharest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
