Touring the natural beauty of Medellin.

Travelled via metro and cable car to the top of a mountain to hike Arvi Park. The scenery was beautiful. The tour guide knew the area well and was very concerned for our well being. Next stop was the botanical garden. This time of year, there were not a lot of flowers in bloom, but they were still beautiful. We heard and saw 2 parrots and 2 iguanas.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this review. We love hearing that you enjoyed both Arví Park and the Botanical Garden. It’s great to know the guide helped make the experience comfortable and that you got to spot some local wildlife along the way. Thanks for spending part of your trip with us!

A welcome balm after a long flight from Canada.

We wanted some fresh air, exercise and an introduction to Medellin on arrival early in the morning after 22 hours of travel from Canada. This tour fit the bill. Our guide Andres was a friendly and clear communicator, and he managed the winding roads and heavy traffic with ease. Both the Botanical Gardens and Arvi Park were very busy as it was Sunday, but the stroll through the Gardens was still very relaxing and the view of the city from the Cable Car in the Park was incredible.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad this tour was a great way to start your time in Medellín after such a long journey. It’s great to know Andrés made everything smooth and enjoyable, and that you were able to relax and take in those amazing views along the way. Thanks for choosing Gran Colombia Tours—we’d love to have you back for more experiences in Colombia!

Wonderful time with Wilder at Arvi and the Botanical Garden

We had an excellent tour with Wilder. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive to our needs. We especially enjoyed seeing the river that runs through the park and the views from the metro cable (that takes you from Medellin to Arvi). Our conversations were rich in terms of exploring the ecosystems/sights of the parks as well as sharing personal experiences with the challenges and opportunities of life here and in our country. We had fun working on improving our Spanish and Wilder's English, and it was a great start to our time in Medellin.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear you had such an enriching experience with Wilder and that his friendliness, knowledge, and attentiveness made the tour so enjoyable. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back to Colombia with Gran Colombia Tours soon!

Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Medellín.

How much does Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $48 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Medellín usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Medellín is not rushed.

Is Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Medellín, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour?

+

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Medellín can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Medellín and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Botanical Garden and Arvi Park Private or Shared Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Medellín within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Medellín?

+

On Outty we rank every Medellín experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guatapé Tour: Piedra del Peñol with Boat Tour, Breakfast, Lunch, Half-Day Coffee Tour: From the Seed to the Cup, Farm & roastery, Private Guatape & Coffee Farm Tour: The Two Must do in One Day. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Medellín?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Medellín?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
