Dolmabahçe Palace was built by the thirty-first Ottoman Sultan, Sultan Abdülmecid. Designed with a Western approach in line with the Ottoman modernization goal, Dolmabahçe Palace was opened for use on June 7, 1856. Construction of this magnificent palace began on June 13, 1843 and took 13 years.

The mosque was built by the Armenian architect Nigoğos Balyan in 1853 by Sultan Abdülmecid. As in all imperial mosques, it consists of two sections: the harim and the sultan's section. The wide and high windows are designed to carry the changing lights of the Bosphorus into the mosque.

An enjoyable evening
It was a wonderful evening overall, which I highly recommend. The food and entertainment were very good. The service was very friendly and attentive. But the most beautiful is the round trip on the Bosphorus. Wonderful views and a fantastic atmosphere.
