    BEWARE NOT Private Transportation

This was booked with PRIVATE transportation. We paid over $600USD and thought it was pricey but decided to go for it because we would be the only ones in the car. The car showed up and there were 2 other people there. I had to go in the 3rd seat in the back with absolutely no leg room. It was terrible. Beware of scams like this. If it says PRIVATE confirm several times what that means!

Response from the operator: Dear Liliana, Thank you for your feedback. We would like to kindly clarify the booking to avoid any confusion for future travelers. Your reservation was made for Blue Mountains Day Tour with Scenic World and Lunch Product code: 294441P10, which is a shared group tour. We do offer a separate private tour option, titled: Blue Mountains Private Sightseeing Day Tour from Sydney Product code: 294441P2, which guarantees exclusive use of the vehicle for your party only. It appears there may have been some confusion between these two different products at the time of booking. The tour you joined operates exactly as described in the product listing, including shared transportation with other guests. We sincerely regret the misunderstanding and appreciate the opportunity to clarify this distinction so other customers can make an informed choice when booking. Thank you for sharing your experience. Kind regards, Ismat Jarin Zara Travel and Tours

    Beware: Not a private tour.

This is not a private tour. It is semi private. A second couple was picked up. They were equally surprised that another group was on the tour. The driver did a great job and was unaware that this was a private tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Richard, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent tour with booking reference 1346213819. We sincerely appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. We are truly sorry to hear about the confusion and discomfort experienced during the tour. Please allow us to clarify that this product is listed as a group (shared) tour, not a private tour. As per the tour details, the maximum number of travelers per product is up to 15, and guests may be required to share the vehicle with other participants. We understand that both parties were surprised, and we regret that this was not clearly understood prior to the tour. We also acknowledge your feedback regarding vehicle comfort and will certainly take this into consideration for future service improvements. Your request for reimbursement has been noted and will be reviewed in line with the tour’s terms and conditions. Our team aims to be fair and transparent, and we will be in touch should any further information be required. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns. Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Blue Mountains Day Tours W Scenic World and Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
