Tour was advertised as a blue grotto tour. Did not go near blue grotto. Tour turned into a long boring swim for 2 hours
Response from the operator: We’re sorry the Mediterranean Sea didn’t cooperate with your holiday plans! Unfortunately, the Blue Grotto was closed due to sea conditions, and, much as we’d love to, we haven’t yet found a way to overrule the sea or the authorities. 😊 When the Grotto is closed, no boat operator can enter it. Rather than cancelling the entire experience, our crew provided the tour around Capri with swimming stops and the other accessible highlights of the island. We completely understand being disappointed about missing the Blue Grotto, we were disappointed for you too. What we find a little harder to understand is blaming the tour operator for an attraction being closed by circumstances entirely outside its control. Hopefully, on your next visit, the sea will be more cooperative than we apparently were! 😊

The experience was great....
The experience was great. However, the two things that can be improved is that besides the email providing the meeting location, the name of the boat should be given, the fact that the boat is not allowed to dock should be known, and the type of uniform or shirts the guides will be wearing should be described. We had a very difficult time finding the guide. Lastly, the Blue Grotto is so crowded, the chance of actually getting in to see it on the boat tour is slim. We did not get to see it.

Disappointing
While the guide was friendly - we never went to the Blue Grotto but they never explained why. We booked a 3-hour trip but they picked us up 10 minutes late and dropped us off 20 minutes early making it only 2.5 hours. When I reached out requesting a partial refund, they credited me $5 even though we paid over $400.

We’re glad to hear that you found our guide friendly, and we’re sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. Regarding the Blue Grotto, we understand that this can be one of the highlights guests hope to experience when visiting Capri. As clearly indicated in the tour description and also explained to you during the experience, however, entry cannot be guaranteed. Access is managed exclusively by local rowing boats and depends on opening conditions and waiting times, which can sometimes reach 2–4 hours. On a 3-hour shared tour, such a long wait would significantly reduce the opportunity for all guests to enjoy the other highlights around Capri. Regarding the duration, the 3-hour timeframe includes the normal boarding and disembarkation procedures, as clearly indicated in the experience details. Based on our records, we have no indication that the tour was shortened by 30 minutes. If there is objective information demonstrating otherwise, we would of course be happy to review it. We would also like to provide some important context regarding the $5 mentioned in this review. Following the tour, a 95% refund was requested, which would effectively have meant paying approximately $20 in total for two people for an experience that was provided. Given the circumstances, we could not consider such a request proportionate or justified. The 5$ was automatically recognized from the system, we denied it. We respect every guest’s right to leave a review, including a negative one. However, given that this one-star review followed our refusal to grant a 95% refund, it is difficult for us not to perceive it as connected to that refusal rather than solely to the experience itself. Unfortunately, we have also noticed an increasing tendency in recent times for the prospect of a negative review to be used as leverage when requesting refunds that are disproportionate to the service actually provided. We believe reviews are extremely valuable when they genuinely help future travelers understand an experience, but they should not become a means of pressuring an operator into granting an otherwise unjustified refund. We remain fully open to legitimate concerns and objective evidence, and we will always address them seriously and fairly. At the same time, we believe it is equally important to provide the complete context when responding publicly to a review such as this.

Read Description Carefully
The boat and crew were great!! Read carefully the description as this tour does NOT include going into the Blue Grotto. You simply pass by the Blue Grotto and move on. The line at the Blue Grotto to actually go inside is quite long so we were initially disappointed but understood and enjoyed very much the rest of the tour. Expectation management.
